#150Opti, not looking good pal. Not only is the book been down forever now the site looks like a ghetto. It looks like they are behind on the bills and the electric company is turning off the lights.Comment -

It's a missing security certificate causing the forum formatting issues and broken icons.
Should be simple fix..Comment -
#152Opti ....
Thanks for your effort...
sometimes in a fight, its makes more sense to stay down, rather than, get up only to get knocked down again ( see Frazier/Foreman)....
Appreciate your attempt to enlighten us all....
But, Oz keeps pulling the rug out from under you...Comment -
#153Thanks 53.
Apologies for the state that the forum is still in on NFL Sunday..Comment -
#1542nd day, turned Ad-Blocker off, no difference. The Menu above this box is empty now. Empty but works if you guess what each is. here's a shot of what my PT screen looks like and another of inside the thread.

there's a list of routine maintenance items that need to be done in order to keep a forum functional (even at its most basic levels like formatting and such) and those things could simply be getting ignored at this point by whomever is actually in charge of IT at this point (if such a person even exists).
based on everything that continues to fall apart on this forum and the new ownership continuing to ignore all requests from mods and questions from posters, i'd say the likelihood of that is much larger than there actually being someone out there who's currently working on the site and happened to break something.Comment -

#162Greetings, SBR Posters!
We know you still have plenty of questions about the future of the SBR Forums, and of the site in general. We’d like to share some of the exciting initiatives we’re working on, while also responding to some of your most pressing concerns.
First and foremost, we want to emphasize that we have a solid and dedicated long-term plan built around embracing legalized sportsbooks within North America. This strategy will allow us to grow SBR into one of the industry leaders, leveraging the extensive knowledge and experience of the site’s moderators and power posters while also opening the doors for the millions of new sports bettors that are expected to enter the market in 2022 and beyond.
Community engagement and growth is a must. We know that the SBR Forums are a place that many of you have called home for years – like the pub on the corner, where great memories have been forged and meaningful friendships have been made. We will continue to support the forums and the shared experience they foster, while at the same time seeking new and exciting opportunities to connect the rapidly expanding sports betting community.
Many of you are concerned about the future of BetPoints. You can rest assured that they are going to remain part of our long-term strategy. We want to be absolutely sure that we’re improving the usage and value of these BetPoints so that you, the consumer, are getting the most out of them. And if you have any suggestions on how we can enhance the BetPoints experience, we’re happy to listen.
There has also been questions about contests – specifically the NCAA Bowl contest. We’re happy to announce that it will run as scheduled this year! More details will be available very soon.
In short, we plan to invest – and we welcome your feedback in figuring out where and how to do so. And that not only goes for the forums, but for the rest of Sportsbook Review, as well.
The SBR Picks pages have already undergone a bit of a facelift, and will continue to do so as we look for the best ways to engage with the betting public through our content. Look for more experimental features geared more toward making bettors smarter than simply offering picks – and we’ll be looking for ways to get the SBR Forum faithful involved, as well, with the potential for paid content opportunities.
We’ll be investing in high-end technology that will not only make our odds pages more reliable, but will also enable us to build new experiences around these odds. We recognize that SBR’s odds page has been its greatest and most popular feature – and we intend on giving SBR users the best odds experience possible.
Lastly, the sportsbook reviews themselves need to become a larger part of what brings people into SBR (and keeps them here). Our plan is to revamp our sportsbook reviews with the customer in mind – and ensure that all sportsbooks are held to the highest standard in the industry. We will advocate for the sports bettor – and as you can see from our initial grades for the top U.S. sportsbooks, the bar is high.
We can’t thank you enough for your patience during what has been a mammoth transition process for everyone involved. We are hard at work resolving any outstanding technical and logistical issues, and our top priority moving forward is to make sure that you feel appreciated and valued as members of the SBR community – whether through improved odds experiences, new and exciting contests, a revamped BetPoints strategy, or other enhancements to the site.
Look for more updates in the weeks to come, and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out via PM or to any of the moderators if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions.
Thanks for giving us your time, and have a great week!
It would be nice to get an update from someone who actually knows what's going on. You have a very loyal customer base in here and receiving an update from new management is not an unreasonable request.
If you are going to dump us, let us know, we can take it. All we are hearing is second hand news and someone needs to step up before we get to the point of no return.Comment -
#163it doesn't necessarily mean that. it could, but not necessarily.

I agree with you generally. So much of what's broken here should be automated though. It's quite telling that it's not automated...Comment -
#164I feel like me and Imack were paid incorrectly on the Pk 6 contest
As a fact im sure of it but no way to fight when you have no clue who you are fighting
As for going Pro again I have to question why ....we have nothing left but wait and see?Comment -

#171Either the new owners have the worst marketing team on the planet or their plans for this site are so far down down the priority list that they don't care what happens to the membership. Mergers and acquisitions happen all the time and in most cases new ownership communicates frequently with the customers of the entity they are purchasing. They will want to create all of the goodwill possible to maintain the existing base. In this case, new owners are sending uninformed employees out to take the heat. They are doing the very best they can with very little to no information provided to them but it is weak and unprofessional for new management to put these mods in an unwinnable, stressful no win situation.

I love it when someone comes in here.... and pounds his chest and says well "You really don't have to be here... no one put a gun to your head and made you stay." Oh really? So in Walker's business plan... there wasn't a forum for a reason?? Right?? Without population.... his business plan would have failed. You need posters for this to work. You need word of mouth. You need people to spend money (funding books.) Sure, we got points... kick backs... etc. But, to say "We didn't have to be here?" lol It's the funniest sh## ever. Without posters (people) this business plan doesn't work.
Regardless, we chose to stay because we love talking sports... and naturally wagering sports... and also POKER. Over the internet... we've made numerous acquaintances and friendships... so in a way... it's not all for not.
I'm still giving this new owner time.... he deserves another 60 days or so....Comment -
