Best TV show series on today?

My top 2 playing right now are -

1) The Old Man (FX channel) Great actors that pull off the show. Story line solid so far.

2) The Boys (Prime tv channel) Well written, amusing as hell. Knock off with bad super hero's which can be just rude and funny at the same time.


If you can add to this list please do. I like Yellowstone also with Kevin Costner but the season is over right now.

Not sure if you're looking for ongoing series, but if you like police procedurals, Bosch is excellent (the new "Bosch: Legacy" is just okay in my opinion).
Winning Time on HBO was also entertaining. I agree w/ you on your list. I think The Old Man definitely has some potential, I've enjoyed the three episodes so far.
Also, Terminal List premiers on July 1st on Prime, w/ Chris Pratt. Book was good, hoping the show will be as well.

If you are Starwars fan the new show OBI-WAN KANOBI on (Disney +) is pretty damn good. Movies theater quality tv show series IMO. As good as the Mandelorian if not better.

i watched old one bosch which is detective olice series and now watching the one where he went private investigator and his dughter Maddie became police woman

The chick playing Maddie needs some acting lessons. She's horrible. I was hoping they would re-cast her character for the new show.

The Old Man is excellent.

Better Call Saul is excellent. The last few shows start back up in 2 weeks.

Shining Girls was pretty good.

A couple from a few years ago that were excellent in the same genre:

Fargo. Season one was fantastic. Season's 2 and 3 were really good.

and

Banshee.

It’s about the 2Pac and Biggie murders.

It’s a pretty good series if you’re into the CSI and Law & Order type of shows.

Or if you think Josh Duhamel is a hot piece of ass.

I agree with Jibby on The Boys. Just to add a bit-- many of the characters with super powers are obviously based on the superheroes we knew growing up--Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Aquaman and a few others, but these guys, especially Homelander (Superman) are downright psychotic. We don't know for sure what happened to Queen Maeve (Wonder Woman) but I hope she comes back and gives Homelander a curb-stomping.

So I never heard of The Boys but gave it a try based on your post. Pretty fukking good I must say. Nothing what I expected at all. Already on season 1 episode 5 and I give it a 8.1 rating.
