I agree you can't live in fear, and I would do what I could, with what I have, if someone is unlawfully on my property, or anywhere else, to defend my family and myself that said,
I was hunting from a very young age, by the time I was 12, just like my older brother and 3 sisters, we had a gun ourselves and was taught gun safety. I now own a house full of guns. (and they are loaded) If I thought that protected me from all danger, that would not be very smart. To think because you are armed that someone can't get you first, is very arrogant.
If someone is trying to break in your house that's one thing, maybe you hear them in time, but if I just want to harm you, I'm going to shoot you from 75-100 yards away.

Put this under crime because the ER doctors face jail for doing their job.
I'm probably one of a small % that don't have a strong opinion on abortion in general, one way or the other. In normal cases with no complications, I am not for late term abortion, on the other hand in abnormal cases where the health of the mother is at risk or other complication exceptions should be made.
The article below is about emergency care and where the government (state governments) should let medical professionals make decisions and not politicians.
Under federal law, hospitals that get Medicare funding have to stabilize anyone who comes to the emergency room, or they can lose that major source of funding. The administration argues the law means that ER doctors have to stabilize pregnant people with dire complications, which often requires an abortion.
Anti-abortion politicians in Idaho challenged the position in court, arguing it violated their state’s law. Abortion critics say the policy would turn all ERs — including those in states with bans — into de facto abortion clinics.
The challenge made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Last week, the majority of its justices said, essentially: Let the lower courts figure it out. (another poor ruling by a weak cowardly court)

Only 12 million illegal aliens have crossed the border in the past 3 3/4 years. About 11 million more than when Trump was President. Great record there.
