Sad but true. Americans will be paying the repercussions for decades to come. At least they can stem the tide and, hopefully, apprehend and deport a significant portion of the dangerous ones, but easier said than done. I only hope Americans don't have a short memory and hold democrats accountable for this debacle at the ballot boxes for years to come. Since they will be no doubt doing their best to block efforts at every turn to deal with the problem, there should be plenty of reminders of their culpability.Comment -

In order to get rid of the gangs effectively, the government will have to act mercilessly and with authority. Hit hard at the onset. The gangs who haven’t been vetted yet should either scatter or leave the country. If not, then they must be eliminated without prejudice. They are the enemy and should be dealt with as such. As in WAR. They are a threat to all Americans.

It behooves me they did this. They would not allow American children into classes without their shots , but allowed foreign children into mandated schools.

On the ''continue to allow it to happen'' they did try to pass a bi-partisan bill that was voted down. It had support from both sides, at one point.
Make no mistake about it, the southern border has not been secure in my lifetime. Why we don't stop all we can, from illegally coming in, I can't answer. It will take high technology and boots on the ground to come close to it ever happening. The cartels will still find a way, there is too much money in it for them not too.
The criminals will find a way in, if you use, low tech, only. You will just keep the families out with that.

The border has never really been secure in our lifetimes is true. But nothing like 15 million (give or take) with other countries emptying out their insane asylums and prisons, gangs and the rest.
A solution would be to warn Mexico and then the people trying to cross illegally with possible death. Once you rid the border of a few, the rest will not attempt it. It's quite simple. That's a harsh solution, but one that can work and will be a deterrent for sure.Comment -

Call it whatever you want, but don't complain about something you wanted for 3.5 years when they try and do it. So, sense it had went on for 3.5 years no need to stop now.
Who put up the turnstiles that counted people coming in? It could be twice that number or half. I was not on the pay roll to count them, was you. How would we know what the number may be. It's a guess.

Difficult to say. For starters, he needs to change the Leftist rhetoric that the Police are evil. Then he needs Prosecutors to lock them up instead of what the Leftists are doing in Blue Cities. Letting them out without punishment.
Then maybe send the 300 thousand gangs and cartels out of the country. Without mercy.
