#37Whiskey is a no-brainer. The Macallan 12 yr. It's better than the 18yr and other variations they are tinkering with. Just pour it straight up.
I love all kinds of beer, though I must say the witt beers are low on my list. About the only beer I really don't like is Heineken. To me beer is situational. I know there are a million micros that all have something going for them, but among those available to most everyone. I love a Guiness if I'm popping in a bar for 1 or 2. Give me Fat Tire or a good brown or amber ale like Petes Wicked or Newcastle in the fridge at home if I'm just having a couple. When volume is the goal, i like the mass produced light lagers and can go with about any. Prefer Miller Lite in the summertime as the cold, lighter beer when I know I'm going to hammer 18, but honestly Bud, PBR, Coors...like them all.Comment -

Dog ... try the Harps. Made by Guiness.
And if you make a score try the Crown Royal (I think they call it Xtra or something) but it's about $125 a quart but Ohh so tasty.
Cheers!Comment -

As far as beer I personally love Belgium beers as well especially Blue moon.Comment -
#46Crown Royal is awesome
For beers, I don't really have 1 favorite......A few "go to" beers are red stripe, Amstel light, and Newcastle
I like to try new beers as much as I can......That delirium tremens stuff is some good shit. Also tried Abita purple haze, which I liked alotComment -

#50The recommendation for Delerium Tremens is spot on. Everyone I know that has tried it has loved it. I gave my Dad a few for his birthday and I don't think he can ever go back to Budweiser and Coors. Also try La Fin du Monde by Unibroue, it's amazing. Actually try everything by Unibroue, you will most certainly find a brew you love. They are available at Total Wine, Ralph's (and I imagine their sister stores), and they might be at your local beer/wine/liquor store. As is the case with nearly any alcoholic beverage you will get what you pay for. Higher cost usually means increased quality. Go to the beer advocate website and they will have ratings and descriptions of nearly every beer on the market.
As for whiskey I don't know squat. When I do drink liquor I go with Crown Royal.Comment -

#58If you like Jack Daniels and you have never tried Makers Mark you are really selling yourself short. I love me Jack but Makers just tastes better.Comment -

#61Beer would be Newcastle and Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale. Except football Sundays where it's Bud/Coors Light, quantity not quality.
Whiskey/Scotch/Bourbon I like Bookers, Knob Creek, Oban and Balvenie Doublewood.
I am lucky, I can get most of them at NH liquor stores for $40-$60, locally they are much more.Comment -
