I don't see the NHL allowing Tampa to play SJ in the finals. SJ/STL series put up some of the worst TV numbers in recent hockey years. They had a lead in directly from the Preakness and more people watched the NASCAR ALL STAR RACE

can you imagine the numbers for SJ/TB? It will be the least watched final ever. NHL should and will do everything in their power to at least get their poster boy Cindy Crosby in there. It's their only chance to save their ratings for the playoffs



More people watched a regular season baseball game on fox sports than game 4 of SJ/STL

Nhl isn't rigged. This isn't the nba. Hockey fans are hockey fans. They're not drawing people outside of the dedicated fans to watch the finals no matter who is there.

This is true to an extent but you can't tell me there are more lightning fans than penguin fans....

And being a hardcore hockey myself, I don't see myself watching more than a game or two with Tampa bay in the finals missing their best player. Especially since the Blackhawks whooped their ass a year ago with him.
