Tennis, ATP Dubai: Basilashvili to beat Coric @ +110

    H2H: 2-2

Keeping it simple...This is a no brainer.

Coric struggled in his wins in the first two rounds over way lower ranked opponents Vesely and Berdych both close near the top 100 mark. Coric clearly not feeling it in Dubai.

While Basilashvili looked great against players (Khachanov and Bautista Agut) who are arguably better than Coric.

Odds opened +140 now dropped to +110 but it's value up to -200 imo.

Borna Coric got completely outplayed by the former world #4 Tomas Berdych in the first set of his second round match on Wednesday but the determined Croatian fought back brilliantly to secure the win in three sets, 1-6 6-1 7-6.
This win against the in-form Tomas Berdych should give a lot of confidence for Borna Coric, who has made a shaky start to the season, including losing to Ugo Humbert in the opening round of ATP Marseille last week and needing three-sets to overcome the lucky loser Jiri Vesely earlier this week.
Borna Coric has gone 1-1 in the quarterfinal of ATP Dubai so far in his career — defeated former world #1 Andy Murray in 2015 and lost to Roberto Bautista Agut last year. Moreover, Coric lost his recent quarterfinal match on the main tour against Kevin Anderson in Vienna 2018.
Nikoloz Basilashvili made the most of the defending champion Roberto Bautista Agut's recent fitness struggles to deliver a three-set comeback win in two hours and 14 minutes, 6-7 6-4 6-3.
The in-form Georgian's only previous quarterfinal appearance of the season also came in the Middle East Tournament of ATP Doha in the first week of January, where he pushed world #1 Novak Djokovic to three sets but ended up on the losing side, 6-4 3-6 4-6.
The seven wins that Nikoloz Basilashvili has collected so far in 2019 are going to bring him bonus points considering he was going through a terrible seven-match losing run in the opening few months of 2018 and made his first quarterfinal appearance only at Marrakech in April (2018).
Borna Coric has delivered consistent results on the main tour over a longer period of time but Nikoloz Basilashvili is playing better tennis at the moment. Their H2H is tied at 2-2 and both have won exactly two ATP World Tour titles so far. All things considered, this is expected to be an evenly-matched contest that could go either way.

In favor of this play my insider contacts who have eyes on the ground in Dubai told me that Coric has trouble getting enough sleep these past few days.

Well it looks like another win the first set and lose the match play from me. It's what I do when it comes to these small dogs in tennis.

You guys throw in the flag too soon in tennis. He just broke back and you’re back in it. It isn’t over until 6 games won, if 7 good luck, the curse of tiebreaks.

Treat EACH set as an entirely new match for close odds players.

Otherwise you are in for some of the worst beats of your life emotion wise.

comparing who beat who in the past rarely means nothing

Every match and or game a new start

Player performance as a whole could have some value say like Stephens...she is terrible week after week for about a year now as is Shapalov from Canada
