    Heritage Check Problem
On behalf of my father.. who has an account at heritagesports.eu
    he received a $1500 *
his bank told him that they're unable to verify the funds, and there was nothing they could do about it. He told Heritage Sports about the problem and then they told him * (cost $37 out of his own pocket to overnight it) and to sit patiently and wait...Which he is currently doing..He has been back and forth emailing a rep, who he hasn't heard from in a couple days now.

Anyone else having this problem? .I feel sorry for my father who is just a part-time gambler..and happened to have a nice win here..He's not understanding of why they need the check back...he was willing to give them all the information on the check so that they could just put a stop-payment on it. We're not very happy with Heritage at the moment.

Lesson learned: to only accept P2P payouts ?

hoping that maybe someone from Heritage can jump in and help with the payout process? I personally believe he should be credited a freeplay for the hassle.. at the very least, make sure his money is returned that he had to pay out of his pocket..Thanks

Check problems (with any sportsbook) in this day and age is nothing new. Since the check didn't bounce, sounds like your bank didn't do it's due diligence. It could be that the check is different looking than those they normally deal with. ANY U.S. banking institution can verify whether funds are valid or not. I can't say exactly but it sounds like your bank didn't even go through the process of presenting the check to have it clear....they looked at the check and didn't like that it looked different

I know it sucks but unfortunately from just the facts you stated it sounds more like your banking institutions fault. Just sounds like they didn't want to be bothered with it. They can absolutely verify the funds. Any sportsbook will make you send back the check before they cut you a new one.. The problem for you is that * Having the check back helps prevent fraud or any shady business that could go on with double presenting checks to your bank.

In short: Your bank didn't like the way the check looked/was from Canada and didn't verify the funds. You have to send check back. You have to wait for the 3rd party processor of the check to do their part. I don't see how Heritage did anything wrong here...blame your bank

I know for a fact that there is a "bad batch" of checks floating around from a different A+ Book. * They might be using the same crappy processor. Either way, Heritage is solid and so is my book. It's just annoying.

          1. Always use P2P when possible and viable.

          2. Deposit those checks through the ATM. Usually they go through with no problem. The teller sees and freaks out. The processor does see that.......

I hear you. But, P2P limits got reduced at most books. And my teller took my check after Manager approval, but there is a good chance it's coming back bc there is some type of issue... Most likely, the processor stiifing the Book, but I'm not sure about that...

Agreed. People read about the few times there is an issue and think it's widespread, when in reality this method has no problem 99%+ of the time, but you don't read about those experiences.
