    Thoughts on Jazz sportsbook?
What are yall's experience with Jazz sportsbook? I see they have some decent limits and a pretty wide menu of betting options. Are they fairly tolerant of winning players, or are they quick with collaring and barring? How well are payouts handled?

    Thanks

Jazz is part of the DPT Sports Group and welcomes professional players. They are very upfront about their rules to those types of players and even say so on their website. I haven't played with them lately, however I haven't heard of any processing issues levied against them at this time, however their fees and withdraw limits on overnight checks are pretty ridiculous.

I am not sure if jazzbet is the same as jazz sportsbook but jazzbet is run by a very dishonest owner (Alex Powers) who tries everything in his power to keep from paying its customers when they win. He will blame payout problems on everything from processor problems to employee errors and it is like pulling teeth getting a nickel from these people. My advice would be to stick to betjamaica or betphoenix or places like that and stay away from these corrupt people. I actually feel the same about looselines as i do jazzbet and maybe it is just a coincidence that they are both part of the DPT sports group.

Jazz and Jazzbet are two very different families.

Jazz (including Jazz and ABCIslands) is (imo) an A rated book. I don't know of any issues they failed to resolve, or had no business having an issue about.

            Roberb,

Jazzbet is bad news. Jazz is fine.

I'm not on the take from Jazzbet

Actually Jazzbet is part of Jazz. I did a live chat session with Jazz to confirm this back in September. I believe this was an offspring of the BetRuss buyout though, which is probably where the confusion might be gentlemen.

Well...the Jazzbet division of Jazz is the very dishonest part. I am not sure of the whole company. The owner of Jazzbet's name is Alex Powers and although I dont like to throw someone under the bus, the way this man conducts his business is outrageous. I am not sure about Jazz but if my advice to anyone thinking about depositing with jazzbet is to go elsewhere and anyone with money currently at jazzbet should try and pull their money out asap and cross your fingers that Mr Powers is feeling generous that day and has taken in a few deposits.

Just curious, I have played at Jazz for many years and I have never heard of any problems, nor had any...who is Powers and what dishonest things did Alex Powers do? Also, what issues did Jazzbets have since I understand they are fairly new acccording to BBD? Roberb, did you play there? What happened to you?

Personally, I would be shocked to hear anything negative with Jazz or its family of books. A better question; When will they be A+?

I have been playing with many books over the years, mainly betjamaica and more recently betphoenix. Never had a problem...love those books. I had an account with jazzbet up until about 3 months ago. I made a deposit for $400 via western union and was told that I was going to get a 20%cash bonus with a 5 time roll over. I am not a bonus whore. I just like play with an honest book with an easy website to maneuver around in but its always nice to get an extra $80. I got the bonus, began to wager and began to win a few bets. About a week later, my balance was over 2,000. On a Sunday, i made a play on a noon NFL game and at 3:00 the outcome of the noon game was still in doubt. I called in and asked if I could make an "if" bet and the clerk told me that they dont normally take "if" bets but that he would make an exception and make a handwritten ticket for me, which was much appreciated. It was only a $120 straight bet. After my first bet won and my "if" bet won, it was not credited to my account. I talked to the same clerk and he told me that it was his mistake to take the bet and they would not be able to honor it. Had I known that I would have just bet the game staight anyway (i had plenty of balance). I talked to the owner Alex Powers and he told me that if i didnt like the way they ran things that I should pull my money out. He also told me that if I came on these message boards that he would "close my account and keep my money". I said ok and tried to make a withdrawl via western union or money gram. Mr Powers then told me that I had a 15 time rollover on a 20% bonus and I needed to wager another 2,200. What a joke right? Well, I rolled it over and still had a 2,000 balance and when I asked for a payout again, Mr Powers then told me that the most a player can win with a 20% cash bonus on an account is $750, even though i made a $400 deposit to begin with. Well, since I had no option, I took my payout for $1150 payed a $105 money gram fee and collected $1045 for a whopping $645 profit but hey, I learned a valuable lesson. DO NOT DEPOSIT WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Anyone still reading this....thank you for your time.

Intersting. I was under the impression (that I think many are) that Jazz and Jazzbet are seperate, and that Jazz was pretty solid, and Jazzbet was crap. Hearing they are linked is a little surprising.

Jazz is solid imo. My main complaint is that they don't offer many NCAA hoops first half or halftime bets. Usually they will offer these on TV games and a handful of others only.

I dont know the relation between Jazzbet and Jazz but anyone that deposits with jazzbet.com needs to have their head examined. Playing online for over 10 years, going back to the WWTS and Rio days, jazzbet is the must dishonest and corrupt run sportsbook i have ever seen.

Twoniner....I dont think they will bar/ban a good player but what jazzbet will do is they will tell you that the only way you will be paid is to negotiate your balance with their corrupt owner and settle for less than the full balance. If you dont take the offer/partial payment you will get nothing.

I have been a part of Jazz for over a year, and have requested 3 payouts from them, all exceding my initial deposit with them. They have a lot of line offerings, and my payouts have been same day, via **, with about a $50 fee, which is a little high. I really liked them, and if there is anyone I can put you in touch with there, feel free to PM me.

For the record, I utilize Blackdog, Jazz, BetJam, and Heritage, and have never had a single issue with them.

I have also used Bookmaker, Sportbet, and BetOnline, but have stopped using those particular books for one reason or another....... always an issue or two with them.

mtneer...i appreciate the feedback but again, my issue is not with jazz...Its with jazzbet which is only one division of jazz. I wish i would have stumbled across this forum a few months ago when i was getting screwed over by jazzbet and their owner Alex Powers. I dont want to re-open this issue because it is too stressful and just not worth the irritation. I only wanted to post a warning to anyone considering depositing with jazzbet. There are plenty of good books elsewhere.

                                                One of my favorite books.

Unfortunately I seem to lose here more than win and its a bitch to get money there compared to other books.

No credit cards, no book transfers, etc.

They only offer it to players who were grandfathered before they changed the new vig format sir.
