The advantage is that they are incredibly easy to use once you get set up, and more and more books are accepting them as a deposit and withdrawal option.

That's why people (i.e. U.S. based bettors) are so excited. The old guard will point out why they're not all that, but the buzz is about ease of use.

Low cost, fast and simple transfer of money between you and books.

Disadvantage comes when transferring between cash and bitcoin.

is it fair to say posters can comment on bitcoin methods in and out of specific books with lots of details unlike "other" methods??

ie is specific bitcoin talk OK here in threads like book A takes bitcoins here how you use them, etc etc

or is that a big "secret" also.

Yeah it seems to be ok, from just following the lead of how our admin users treat the threads. I haven't been told about any specific Bitcoin rules. But we do still have the rule about detailing financial transactions so I guess you'll just have to live with the mods going on a case by case basis when it comes to whatever you mean by 'lots of details'.

Is there a "tutorial thread" about how to use bitcoins? For every two people that seem to have a grip on them, there are dopes like me that don't have a clue.

Okay I just came back from a trip but I want to work on a small bitcoin thread to help those that are like me get started. Brick James asked for help as well so I will spend some time making a thread, I'll probably create it in PT but maybe I should do it in here. Anyway Razzler will try to help those that are new to this.

                        1. Buy bitcoins through Coinbase.com or Circle.com. Link to bank account.

                        2. Set up a blockchain.info wallet.

                        3. Transfer bitcoins from Coinbase or Circle to blockchain.info wallet.

                        4. Make all deposits and withdrawals between your blockchain.info wallet and sportsbook.

                        5. To cash out transfer bitcoins from your blockchain.info wallet to Coinbase or Circle.

                        Misc.

                        A. Circle and Coinbase start off with fairly low limits that increase with time.

                        B. Localbitcoins.com is a great place to buy/sell. I've done Paypal transactions as well as depositing into someone's BkofAma account and having them put money in my bank account.

                        C. With localbitcoins, make sure that you are dealing with someone with a 100% reputation and many transactions. There have been a couple of chargebacks with Paypal/

                        D. LibertyX has locations where you can buy bitcoins in person. Free up to the first $1000 and 1% after that.

                        E. It seems very complicated at first but after a couple of transactions, it's very easy.

I'll post other ways of obtaining bitcoins later, more in detail that avoid red tape. There are also many wallets besides blockchain.info

When doing first bitcoin transaction ever is a payout from a book can you send directly to blockchain info. For instance send p2p to book get payout of bitcoin from book. Where do you have book send to?? Do they send it to your blockchain or can you have one book send bitcoin directly to another book? I hope someone can follow my question lol.

I always make my transactions with books deposits/withdrawals to and from my blockchain.info wallet. Book to book transfers aren't really needed since transactions are so fast.

Another reason not to transfer book to book is that you want some proof. The conventional books haven't perfected bitcoin transactions and proof of transfer may be good to keep.

For proof with conventional books it may be a good idea to take a screen shot of the address that the book gives to you to deposit. Then you'll be able to show the transfer in case of any problems.

Jetwin is a nice book with a live casino. You can hit and run and withdrawals will take approximately 2 minutes or less. US IPs banned. A VPN will work and an anonymous account can be created.

Jetwin has a nice bonus in their sportsbook/casino with a 10x rollover if you are willing to give KYC (know your customer) information. US IP and residents banned.
www.Betcoin.ag, need www. to get in since they just updated their server, betcoin.ag doesn't work, has a 100% bonus in their casino although it's not live. The live casino will be up soon.

Some of the casinos such as Nitrogen are now provably fair which makes casino players feel they aren't getting cheated. Nitrogen only has black jack but it's not live.

Posted on August 10, 2015 by Angela Burrows
</header>One of the pleasures of opening a new table in blackjack is seeing the cards get spread before the start of play. The dealer takes his deck of cards (assuming single deck action), spreads them out, and lets everyone take a peek while the dealer verifies the deck has all 52 cards. Honest and open play works for both sides, and spreading the deck shows the player that the casino isn’t in the business of cheating him. That’s one of the many benefits of live blackjack.
Online casinos historically have not had this ability to “show off their honesty”. A player must trust the casino to play fair. When the player wins, this isn’t a problem. But when he loses, that’s not the case. The blackjack player who went broke playing online will inevitably complain about an unfair game; the decks were cooked, he might say, or the decks were missing a few 10s and aces, giving the house an enormous advantage over the player.
Until recently, there was little an online casino could do to verify that its game were on the up and up. The deck shuffling is done by an algorithm, not a dealer handling the cards. The advent of bitcoin casinos, however, have also brought about a way that online casinos can prove they are dealing an honest game. This method, an algorithm that can be analyzed and verified for fairness, is called “Provably Fair”.

Provably Fair is a system that doesn’t allow either the casino or the player to cheat in the game. The method uses cryptographic hash functions that methodically transform data into strings. These strings are a series of unbreakable alphanumeric characters, meaning the data inside the strings can’t be cracked. The string is a fingerprint of a shuffled deck. Since the player can’t crack the string, the casino can safely let the player look at the string before the game begins. When the game is over, the player is given the ‘secret’ to the string, allowing him to very verify that the shuffled deck he was shown prior to the game is the same shuffled deck that was used in the game.

James Hampleton of Nitrogen Sports, rated as one of the top bitcoin sportsbooks in the world today, uses Provably Fair in its online casino and encourages its players to both understand and demand Provably Fair standards.
“Verifying that a hand is Provably Fair requires that players understand hashing and can run shuffling algorithms,”
Hampleton told CoinTelegraph.com. “In order for it to really take off as a standard, it requires support from the people who are not only capable of this, but are passionate about it.”

“This is the future of betting online,” added Hampleton. “Players should be demanding more transparency from their casinos, and Provably Fair technology not only allows this, but mandates it.”

This seems like the best way, I was reading online what people were saying, good reviews on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/com...nce_fantastic/.

I'll probably use this as my go to place for buying bitcoins. There are Ace Cash Express stores all around me here in Colorado Springs that offer it apparently according to their website https://libertyx.com and they charge no fees either if you buy under $1k which is pretty awesome...not like I'm going to buy more then $1k of bitcoins.

For those using Libertyx, make sure to call ahead of time to see if the employee working is familiar with bitcoin purchases and QPay. It may be knew at the store and there have been instances where the employee was unfamiliar with the process.

So your telling me all these bitcoin books don't accept players from the USA?? This is the first time hearing this. When did this occur and what is the work around? I have to learn about bitcoin and VPN and changing my Ip address just to use these books. Now this seems like a lot. I was just feeling encouraged before hearing that.

Jetwin bans US ip addresses? Is this a typo or has something changed since I joined. Still playing there, never had an issue. Perhaps you meant Anonibet?

can you buy 2k worth at one time? I've reading on here that they will limit you at first?

Some books ban US IPs, some books ban UK IPs and some don't ban any IPs. VPN will work for all books.

Is there ever a problem with having a Usa physical address then using a VPN. Or does the book know you have a Usa physical address and won't even let you open an account? If this is the case it's beneficial to me to not take a bonus and have my account be pretty anonymous.
