If crypto's taught me anything, it's that all opinions are valid and possible, so you may very well end up being right.

But I know the people behind BCC. I fought shoulder to shoulder with them for a year and a half back when our movement was called Bitcoin Unlimited. And these guys, the ones still fighting the war we lost in May, they're absolute fanatics who think they're saving Bitcoin from becoming the next Yahoo. Their belief is pseudo-religious. (Plus, they've all become rich in their 20's, so losing money is, oddly, not that big a deal to them.)

To go away, BCC will have to be killed by a sustained counter attack by Bitcoin Core. It will never die out of its own free will.

Yeah, I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but a lot of my former comrades in arms are being hurtfully vocal and "I told you so"-y about BCC's early price movement.

A little nugget for people here. If your bitcoins weren't in an exchange/sportsbook on 27 June, you can still claim your lumens until 27 August at https://www.stellar.org/lumens/bitcoin-lumen-program/. I just picked up my free lumens...each worth $0.018 currently...

This whole thing smells a bit bubbly. The value of BTC should have either dropped post-fork or BCH should be trading near $0. Or is the argument that before the fork, BTC (effectively BTC+BCH) was being artificially held down in value due to uncertainty around the event?

Trying to make sense of bitcoin markets in the way we would traditional markets doesn't seem to work well eh

I thought there might be some correlation between the new prices too. But appears not.

Whoever knows what the real driving forces are could make a fortune here fast. Maybe potential miner profits are having an effect. I don't know.

                    Is this legit?

Why do they insist on having a facebook account to get the instructions?

                    Smells potentially dodgy to me.

                        Another exchange enables BitcoinCash trading

This email goes to all Independent Reserve clients.

Today we have taken the first step in implementing support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

All customers will now find that they have a ‘BCH’ account on the Accounts screen, with a balance equal to that of their Independent Reserve Bitcoin (XBT) balance as at 1st August 2017, 23:16:14 UTC +10.

We plan to enable BCH trading on Monday, the 7th of August at 15:00 UTC +10.

Please take care when placing orders as we expect initial liquidity to be low. We highly recommend using Limit Orders rather than Market orders which may execute at unexpected price points due to low liquidity on the BCH market.

BCH deposits and withdrawals will be enabled at a later date, when we are confident that they can be implemented safely, with no risk to client funds.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

                        Best Regards,

                        Adrian Przelozny

Totally legit; I collected all my STR.

But the really big money to be made on the dilution event was to short STR before it happened, a recommendation I made on this very board: https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...ts-crypto.html

                            Thanks for the confirmation

And great work on that, and all your suggestions, during the recent event.
