'Betting Shops' in Australia?

I'm planning a trip to Australia and have seen that they have offline, physical sportsbooks (they seem to be called "betting shops"), but I haven't seen anything that tells me how to find them. Even the gambling companies' websites I've found only discuss online betting. Can any Aussies, or anyone who has visited Australia, point me in the right direction here? Is there a directory or store finder-type website somewhere? Thanks in advance -- and points if you're helpful.

Yes there are betting shops in Australia called "TAB's", you can also bet at your local pub/hotel.
Which part of Australia are you visiting?
There are places to bet everywhere.

Thanks, tommygun. I had seen a directory of "TAB outlets" for New Zealand; if they're prevalent in Oz, I suppose there's no need to know exactly where to find each one. My girlfriend wants to go to Perth, but I'm hoping to be around Sydney so that I can visit New Zealand before I have to leave.

Yeah if you can't find a TAB, go into any hotel/pub I guarantee you will be able to bet there.
