fairlay just does not have the volume, I think its cute but a waste of time, everyone there is looking to beat the line not just make crazy bets, you cant get anyone to place a "fair" bet, they want line value so everything just sits. They just run an api from pinnacle and hit every line that has value, its not a guy named frank who loves the raiders. its hard to get any action without frank

no you dont. 5betonline has same line on SF and 5dimes has same line on Milw

and you have a 0.2 commission on yours. you need to be better then the markets not worse!

ok I even went extreme now and I made the margin nearly zero and it still has no action, that is the point, there is no real action, just people searching for line value BUT zero bettors

the +166 and -169 those are your offers?? nearly zero would be +166 -167 !!

really so few people would have the time to navigate around that horriffic web site and even shop or think about lines.

yeah that is why sadly, its a great idea done horribly and is a real waste of time, reality is 99% of bettors join the book that has the hottest chick on the click ad and has a big flashing red bonus sign. I think 95% of bettors dont even know what lines mean, but the fairlay test is a complete failure but it was fun!

It is (fairlay) beyond horrible to use. one of the most worthless things ever is that annoying ticker tape of offerings (that are not good odds ever) and scrolling the same 12 things over and over. im mean wtf new york giants regular season wins needs to be on the ticker tape every 9 seconds??? they are so clueless its incredible.

they did pick a catchy name however.

if you have a mistake they made and want it fixed get this they CHARGE you and lots to look into it. LOL

This is very true. the guy who created it hasn't a clue about UI and is very resistant to suggestions. From a usability perspective it's an absolute nightmare.

yes I am just 1 centing everyones lines and getting a few free bets a day at +EV, it works out pretty well but is tedious but hey it lets me bet another 1k a day, so that helps my bottom line but more work than worse for sure.

the guys that started it are brilliant Technology guys. And if you have been with them for a while you can see that they do take suggestions and apply worthy ones. One I had was for them to list on or against in matched orders they did

Congrats on your effort danshan11. I think market making on exchanges is tough and Fairlay is problematic. Very poor user interface. What language did you use for the API? Seems to me your started out with one and switched.

its just simple api stuff with json and some php sql stuff to get and feed from pinny to fairlay before creating the market.
but i originally did a simple google sheets script that let me create a simple market manually in a sense.
Dont waste your time with it, I am telling you there is only market makers , zero real bettors which leaves very very small opportunities, honestly you could get better lines as a buyer by just oddsportal before a game

look here you on the 1x2 you can see its got huge swing, I am not sure about all these books but you can just use the big books and you can see there is more room here than on fairlay for sure

if I can get a team -165 that is closing on pinny for -200ish I will take that bet every day of the week as many times as possible

I'm trying to set up the API using C#, but I'm a bit lost. I think I sorted which Market is the "moneyline" but the API doesn't specify it in the response... Also for some reason on the exchange it seems I can only bet one side, in this case its the Giants. How would I bet on the Phillies in this scenario?

I tried to sort it all out by viewing the Bet Card through the side which looks fine as you can bet on both sides of the match, but, when I click on the exchange view, it only lists the Giants and something about on vs against. Needless to say I'm a bit confused, does anyone have some insight.

                                API Response:
Markets: 175989504413: MLB San Francisco Giants (J. Samardzija) @ Philadelphia Phillies (V. Velasquez) FT M_ODDS 101.825 San Francisco Giants 7/31/2019 11:04:11 PM {"Bids":[[2.183,21.00041],[2.180,500.11]],"Asks":[[2.277,24.84],[2.280,500.11]],"S":0}~

Fairlay is a small team but trustworthy. They leave their site to run relatively automated except for large deposits/withdraw of 5 BTC or more (55k currently). Have run issue free since 2015 or so.

Deposits/withdrawals all instant and automated, volume is low yes but business is instant and trustworthy. Odds provider at minimum Pinnacle with a few other market makers involved for the large sports. At this moment they are closer to being a sportsbook than an exchange like Matchbook as they don't enough maker volume for most markets. However, you can get down 5 figure sums on games instantly, often higher limits than the fiat books themselves.

These guys originally wanted to create a business similar to PredictIt, the political market exchange but slowly became a sportsbook exchange. They don't have sportsbook background. They do have technical background but I feel the real developers have slowly transitioned to other projects/focuses. The site is not marketed but has never given me an issue with very large sums.

Interface is ugly but the odds are best around. Yes, sharpest, but overall, lowest vig in the bitcoin betting world (non fiat balance).
