Asianonnect88 Now Saying They Require KYC For BTC Accounts Too
I just went to AsianConnect to make a withdrawal and got the message that I needed to verify my identity with KYC. This has happened a few times in the past and it has always been fixed by just talking to support and explaining that I was set up as a BTC only account and then I was able to withdraw no questions asked. This time when I messaged support they said that recent management changes require them to KYC everyone, and it's only for security purposes. Hopefully this doesn't jeopardize their don't ask don't tell policy when it comes to US players. I guess I send in my information and see what happens.

not new been like this for many months...the good news is that it is fairly simple for most and I have not seen issues outside a few that took a bit of extra time. Mine took 2 days....NOW i wish they would get a freaking new betfair white label that allows lay bets and 3-4% commissions that would be a great 2020 gift

That sucks. Crypto-only books and agents with no KYC are the future.

Have a small amount at PS3838 through AC88.

Like the OP, I submitted a withdrawal request and got the same message about now using KYC.

I'm not suspecting any problems, but wanted to bump up this thread for those AC88 customers who might be wondering.

The submission of my KYC documents has revealed to them that I'm a US customer, which is a little concerning.

Its 3 to 5 business days for my documents to clear. I'll return to update thread at that time.

An interesting requirement was that AC88 will only accept a "bio-metric" ID if one doesn't possess a driver's license.

I'm wondering if a "bio-metric" ID is an ID with the little hologram on it (which I have) We'll see. Thanks.

So, am I screwed if the name I used to register on AC doesn't match the name on my ID?

              Try being honest with them.

They should understand why sometimes people do that if there is no nefarious reason.

I've successfully gone through the KYC process, also. No issues for me either.

I've had a negative experience with them. I sent them drivers license, credit card bill, phone bill, and cable bill and now they're making me send a birth certificate (which has been lost) because my name doesn't match the person on cable/phone bill even though we share the same last name..

I pushed them on the birth certificate and now they say a bank statement works. Hopefully that's enough for them lol

These books and agents track us via IP and browser fingerprinting every time we login. They can detect fraud that way easily.

The KYC jingle is at best a delay tactic and at worst an excuse not to pay and/or to sell our personal information to third-parties.

I think also they are trying to see if you have any connections who may be big winners against them. It's all highly unethical, of course, but I think there's more than one motive.

They told me my bank account number needs to be visible for verification? There is not a shot I trust these guys with that info. This whole situation is crazy.

                                That is unreasonable.

I don't see any reason it would be needed unless it's for illegal activity. The point of KYC is to prove your identity which is accomplished by the address on the statement and not the account number.

Ridiculous. I will stay away from Asianconnect88 and inform those in my network to do the same. Good luck and please keep us updated.

Why don't you trust anyone with your bank account number?

People and businesses give their account details to strangers daily to be paid. System is designed to be secure and work that way.

I do trust certain businesses with my bank account number if it's for a justifiable reason (d1rect deposit, making a payment). My issue with Asianconnect is why do they need my bank account number? I'm not going to give them my bank account number when there's no reason for them to have it. Obviously it provides them no identifying information for KYC unless there's something I'm missing.

Their KYC process can be annoying but is not unreasonable. It seems that they are a bit more particular with individuals who come off as suspicious (i.e. you gave them false information at registration). One would expect them to be more thorough with their account verification given this.

You should ask them why your bank account number is relevant. If they can't answer the question to your liking, don't use them.

Hi, hope all is well. I recently signed up for Asian Connect to bet using Pinnacle. I was a bit tired of bookies limit my bets, not pay etc, and wanted to use Pinnacle because of their reputation. I am in the US. I did my research online, including right here on SBR forums, and I read that if you select 'BTC' as your currency then you will not be asked for your country. I love bitcoin and am comfortable with using it. I tried to sign up using the BTC selection on their sign-up form. However, they had no such thing and only allowed to select EUR or GBP under 'currency', and 'country' was a required selection. I selected Canada.

Based on your statement, I am concerned a bit for when I withdraw. I am comfortable sending them my information for KYC, but I'm a bit afraid that they will see that I am US based, and that I selected Canada as my country as there was no other option.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

                                            Thanks.
