Hi everyone. I have a complaint against betflip that is hard for me to believe even after experiencing it.


I was looking for a bitcoin Sportsbook because I didn’t want my btc converted to dollars. On my search I found a couple decent reviews on betflip so decided to give them a try. I deposited 0.2 btc on 11/29. I was automatically given a 110% bonus and my balance showed 0.42 btc. Keep in mind I did not ACCEPT any bonus and was never even given the option to accept or decline it. I tend not to bother with deposit bonus’s after some horror stories I’ve seen online but I wasn’t given a choice here.

I played for around a month, and whenever I accounted for my balance I simply subtracted the 0.22 bonus as I figured there was no way I’d meet the rollover and they would simply remove the 0.22 once the bonus period was over. By 12/27 I had 0.6495 in my account, 0.4295 by removing the bonus. (I have screenshots of everything I can provide if needed) On the morning of 12/27 I log into my account and I see 0.0973 btc. I check my account history and there was a withdraw for 0.5522 btc. I immediately went on live chat as I assumed someone hacked into my account. They told me I received an email about this so I checked and got the following:

So essentially they are saying whenever you have a bonus (which they FORCE you into taking) you are only allowed to bet 3 team parlays?!? This is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard of. I try to understand their math of how I somehow have half the money of my original deposit, and I’m told on live chat they voided ONLY THE WINNING TICKETS. The losing tickets stand. To everything I say I basically get the same generic answer: “It’s in the rules.” I was also told every new user has no choice but to accept the bonus and play by these “rules.”

I am posting this to warn everyone to never touch this site. Can someone from SBR help me work this out with them? Thanks in advance.

These guys are thieves and frauds, and gutted that I fell for their practices without reading the T&Cs in details, which have recently been edited further to suit their agenda of refusing payouts. Confirmed by Curacao that they have no license. Avoid like the plague.
Similarly to yourself, they withdrew two thirds of my balance manually, and I didn't even have an active bonus. They based this on their max limits for certain sports, which weren't even on the T&Cs before. Tried to remove funds recently by claiming my bet had lost based on the women's result between the same teams, despite the bet still being processed as a winner by the sportsbook provider. Again, withdrew the funds themselves.

A final note, they make up employees or 'managers' names for fun, when really it's one scammer running this sham from his bedroom. Hilarious that they claimed someone was fired.
They need to be shut down, pure and simple.

After reading this thread I decided to check my account on BOVADA and I noticed internal messages sent to my account that says I was rewarded “points” with a value of approximately $270.00 US.... I have no intention on redeeming these points nor accepting any Bonuses. The pessimist/suspicious side of my brain sees this as the perfect storm for BOVADA to screw me over down the line. Should I reach out to them and inform them that I DO NOT WANT BONUS PLAY? Or will doing so set off suspicions?

Bovada is typically pretty fair with its bonusing. Their loyalty program is money, and they even pay winning players. I never had any problems taking bonuses or with Bovada's loyalty program. I played there for several years.

All I can do is what I will continue to do, make sure I am one of the last people to be scammed by them and blast this across every single sports betting platform I can to protect others from experiencing what I did.

From my understanding, SBR's duty is to look out for all players. One would think doing what jacksonstreet said is a pretty reasonable request, even if that means I personally will never see a dime from them.

Simply do what they do for any player who has a legitimate complaint. Attempt to reach out to the site. (They have email and live chat) to "mediate a solution" as Optional stated. And if they don't respond, blacklist them. I understand SBR can't perform magic tricks if a scam book doesn't care. What I said directly to the site was obviously frustration, I assumed anyone would understand that. Just looking for a bit of support, and if nothing else maybe it'll prevent future players from making the same mistake I did. Them scamming one less person would be a win.

Instead of going ham towards SBR, you should dig a bit deeper - they offer ZenDesk chat, meaning they most likely had to pay for that service, which further means that you might be able to track them down; they offer Card payments, meaning they most likely have card provider so you can track them that way as well.
