#4I really like Electrum.org as it has every possible function.
But it is not dead simple if you just want intuitive and easy. Worth the effort to learn its functions though..Comment -

#7Those "wallets" are controlled by the exchange they are attached to.
Best to hold you own funds in your own wallet, where no third party can delay or stop your transfers or needs to KYC you, or has to report your activity to anyone..Comment -

In other words, Coinbase is a company. If the government seizes their assets, they'd be in a position to cooperate. Good Luck getting your money.
My reply:
1) Trezor hardware wallet. Good ease of use.
2) Electrum. Pretty nice. Processes very quickly.

#10A good, free desktop wallet is Exodus. Download it at Exodus.io Save that 12 word phrase in a safe place and you will never lose your funds from computer crash, etc.
For hardware wallets, the new Ledger Nano S Plus is good. Holds about 20 or so apps/cryptos of your choice. Big improvement over the Nano S which only held about 3-5 apps/cryptos. Cost is $79. Trezor Model One is also good ($69).
Youtube has plenty of tutorials on how to set up and operate any wallet....Comment -
#11I use crypto.com but the thing i hate is i cant transfer to the defi wallet for free, they treat it like an external wallet withdrawal. So i gotta pay the .006 fee just to switch between both of their sites..stupidest thing ever. Better option is to exchange btc for cro and then transfer that paying .01 cro or something which is less than a pennyComment -
#12When you refer to holding our own funds are you talking about long term? I'd love to find other options but I only use a wallet to transfer from the casino to getting my cash. With bitpay it's in my wallet a few hours at most until I transfer it to the bitpay card and hit the ATM. Is there an easier way using other wallets?Comment -

#15That what I thought, always trying to find a new or better way to skin the cat though. If I was holding on to crypto I would also do it differently. Thanks for the response.Comment -

Is there a chance that Malwarebytes is triggered by an issue that Electrum USED to have? I know there are some fake electrum sites with similar URLs.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

is Electrum wallet secure?
Electrum is generally considered to be a secure wallet for storing cryptocurrencies. However, like any software, it is not immune to vulnerabilities and potential security issues.
One of the benefits of Electrum is that it allows users to create a seed phrase, which is a series of words that can be used to restore access to the wallet in the event that the original wallet file is lost or damaged. This means that users have full control over their private keys, which are used to sign transactions and access their funds.
In addition, Electrum uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to provide an extra layer of security for users. This can be done through the use of a hardware wallet, or by requiring a second password to be entered before a transaction can be signed.
However, it is important to note that Electrum has had some security issues in the past, including phishing attacks and fake versions of the software that have been used to steal funds from users. It is therefore important to make sure that you are downloading the genuine version of Electrum from the official website, and to always take necessary precautions to secure your private keys and seed phrase.
In summary, Electrum can be a secure wallet for storing cryptocurrencies, but it is important to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect your funds.
Why would Malwarebytes report is it not?
Malwarebytes is an antivirus software that is designed to detect and remove malicious software from your computer, including malware that is specifically designed to steal cryptocurrency wallets or private keys. If Malwarebytes reports that there is an issue with Electrum, it may be because it has detected some form of malware or other security threat that is associated with Electrum or with a file or website that you have downloaded or visited.
However, it is important to note that Malwarebytes is not perfect and it may sometimes report false positives or incorrectly identify legitimate software as being malicious. If you believe that Electrum is a legitimate software and Malwarebytes is reporting it as a threat, you can try to whitelist the Electrum software in Malwarebytes or use an alternative antivirus software to verify if there is an actual threat.
Overall, it is important to have antivirus software installed on your computer to help protect against malware and other security threats. However, it is also important to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions when using cryptocurrency wallets and other sensitive software to protect your private keys and funds from potential attacks..Comment -

#22Don't laugh but I use Paypal. I use them for nearly everything now and they offer 4 different coins: BTC, Litecoin, Etherium, and I think Bitcoin Cash but not sure.Comment -

I have used Electrum and I like it too Hitler (cough, I mean Optional). Bisq is a good P2P exchange that I like a lot. You get limited at first on total amount in one transaction but you can just do many small transactions over and over.
