    Affordability checks in the UK
We want the Government to abandon the planned implementation of affordability checks for some people who want to place a bet. We believe such checks – which could include assessing whether people are ‘at risk of harm' based on their postcode or job title – are inappropriate and discriminatory.

Sounds like a good way to encourage problem gamblers into the arms of illegal and local bookies.

The UKGC is a terrible organisation and has been for a long time.

Just look how they duped the govt into allowing their books to advertise directly to addicts by being required to air "set a limit" and "self exclude timeout periods". How is that a good idea?? Put ads on encouraging people who can't control themselves as the book will give you tools?!?

Palming off all their player reglatory responsibility to third parties only is another way UKGC has duped the govt.

Terrible, terrible excuse for a regulator.
