Just doesn’t seem fair that I lost money on this match when I had the winner and he was 8 points from completing the match


Only FanDuel & MGM paid me on the ML the rest were graded as Void, don’t understand the Void for the ML wagers

This is one of the more frustrating aspects of tennis betting. Always read your house rules - Some books are 1 set for action and some books are match must complete for action on ML bets. There is no universal standard on walkovers.

That said, knowing how the books grade walkovers is important especially if you know of a player or players who have a high propensity to quit when getting down - think Emma Raducanu around 2023. I'd lay marginal extra juice in the 1 set for action, if I felt I had an edge just to avoid this scenario.

It sucks. Think it goes back to two things:

1) Injury knowledge in tennis. There are sometimes only a few people that truly know how injured a tennis player is. Maybe the player and his trainer. Tennis betting lines had to ponder the Probability of Resigning.

2) Goes back to this guy, IMHO: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolay_Davydenko
...I'm convinced that the Russian mob threatened Davydenko and forced him to resign during the match versus Arguello.
...Betting markets flipped from -300 to +300, as if people knew what was about to happen.
