HRwager anyone know what's going on?
Tried to log in today (10/7) and got invalid credentials. The chat was also disabled, as is their phone number.

Can someone help me with any details or find out how I can reach them. Thanks.

    Closed up.

This is from Jimmy Hoffa, former moderator at EOG and The Gambling Forum. (TGF was owned by HRWager)

As you may have noticed by my ambiguous statement when I first mentioned that TGF was likely to close, I neglected to mention the role of HR Wager in the closure...

I will now mention the role of HR Wager in the closure.

The financial integrity of HR Wager was severely compromised when Gus left HR Wager for a new position with the RDG group (America's Bookie). When he left Gus took a list of HR Wager's players, and most importantly HR Wager's heaviest losers.

HR Wager was already running thin on funds as evidence of their slow-pays to larger balance players requesting payouts had become common knowledge. Gus' departure with important proprietary data was the straw that broke the camel's back. George was forced to sell personal property to keep the book afloat when a proposed sale of the book fell through at the last minute, coupled with Gus' deceit the end was apparent.

Beside being disappointed with having to make the announcement of TGF's demise, I knew that the disappointment would only perpetuate...

After publishing my statement, I was soon contacted by multiple posters that we all know and even by a few individuals outside of the forum that were HR customers. I was contacted because HR Wager was withholding funds legitimately owed to them. I couldn't verify their claims but they were too numerous to ignore.

I was prepared to let the forum go away without issuing any other statements about the matter, until I was contacted by one specific individual about his issues with HR Wager. Let me begin by saying something about this person...

This individual was already on the forums before I even knew they existed around 2003ish. This individual is more than just informed about players, games and matchups, he's good at sports betting and he wins with frequency. I admired his insight and knowledge of arithmetic to the specifics of sports betting. He was able to find advantages I didn't see and I learned much from him. Furthermore, this individual conducts himself as a gentleman on the forums and rarely engages in keyboard battles. As a staff member at both EOG and TGF, I can say with certainty that he supports the sponsors of these forums with ..deposits. I also know that he was harmed when another forum sponsor book denied him payments in the 4 figure range. (continued...)

    (continuation...)

But this time was different. This individual has been being slow paid by HR Wager for an extended period of time. A small monthly amount in comparison to what he is owed. This individual is owed in excess of 5 figures and HR Wager has terminated all communication with him. I encouraged George to reach out to him. When that didn't happen I encouraged the individual to blast HR Wager on the forums. He didn't because he's a gentleman and he's just not a controversial person.

What ultimately caused me to make this statement about the insolvency of HR Wager is the fact that the forum is gone but the book remains open and is currently taking deposits. HR Wager is now a deposit-only book. Had George just closed up the book when he closed up the forum I would have remained silent on this matter.

I will not name any of the individuals who contacted me, they can step forward if they like but it still won't get them paid.

So that's it in a nutshell, HR Wager is insolvent.

Thanks for the reply. I had just made a few wagers on 10/6, so this was a surprise.

Is there any recourse to retrieving my funds? I used to talk to Gus via chat all the time. Is there anyone to talk to now?

I'll bet this same player has a balance at the RDG group also. So tell them to make it right? George was always a pos that whole operation are a pos even Bet Phoenix were they broke from. Trust me were is Wager Chief or Tomas from Betmania? If you have money at any of these places you will be ripped off next.
