Based and licensed in Ireland. I am trying to complain through the Irish licensing authority but so far I havent got anywhere. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Quick update - gambling in Ireland seems to be basically unregulated. This is a bit surprising for a modern European nation. Anyway, my next step is to try out their legal system.
Ireland has been trying to pass modern gambling regulation laws for years. So many naive religious interest groups have been stopping them protecting their local people and collecting tax from it. Set for re-submission to parliament next year.
Spread betting companies in the UK are normally heavily regulated by the FSA. I assume this is in the ROI and therefore exempt from UK regulations. This company has been slow paying for a very long time and I remember reading an article about the owners being dodgy. I think they were technically bankrupt, so shouldn't have been allowed to even start / run this company. I'll try and dig it out for you
I just called them over the phone and the guy told me "I am aware of this thread" and said he cannot disclose any information about 3rd party individuals. I said it's fine and I told him my only advise to him is to take care of their reputation starting by addressing your complaint.
Hope it helps, anyway thanks for letting me know about this site, I would definitely never register with them until they establish their reputation and they lost me as a potential customer (and they can look at my previous posts to see I'm quite a "heavy" gambler or at least been so for many years!)
Many thanks for taking the time to call them up. I'm not alone in being owed a few thousand. A quick search on twitter shows plenty of other complaints.

Any poster on bookmakersreview reports problems with a payout.
Oops. What I meant to say was that another poster on bookmakersreview reports problems with a payout.
JJ - they aren't that obscure in Ireland and the UK; and they are blatantly ripping people off with the Irish authorities prepared to do nothing about it.
If you would like to email the details with your account ID and name to cases@sportsbookreview.com I will have a go at contacting them for you King.
Im in the same boat as King, indeed several of us have been trying to make ourselves heard via the Fight Against SportsSpread Facebook group.
The underhand dealings of this firm need to be made known across as many consumer groups such as SBR as is possible.
Not sure how much it would help, but If you have not done already, I would get in touch with the Irish Dept of Justice, they give out Bookmakers licences so it may be in their interest to investigate possible fraudulant behaviour.... http://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/..._and_lotteries
