Pinnacle MLB player prop rules different than industry standard?
Industry standard for MLB player props is the game has to go 8.5/9 for action. (bookmaker is one I know who does this)

Had a strikeout prop on the Indians game tonight that was declared official after 6 innings. Pinnacle actioned the wager. I asked them about this (obviously my bet lost) and was referred to the following rule:

    5. Only the statistics of games declared official will be used for purposes of scoring MLB General Props. If a shortened game is declared official and MLB General Props have action, then statistics of this shortened game will be included with regard to grading.

I don't know if player props are in the general prop category but I'll assume they are as I don't see another one specifically mention player props. Now if this is their rule, there's really no argument and the wager is actioned correctly. But does anyone know of other books who grade MLB player props like this?

It's only Run Lines and Totals that require 8.5/9 innings for action.

It's action for most other bets after 4.5/5 innings.

    By Vegas rules.

      usually 5 innings...

I got screwed with paxton strikeout prop last game pitched less than an inning...

Its a great market, but pinny only does 1/2's for totals, and prefers to juice them. yesterday severino was 6.5 at pinny, 7 at bovada, 7.5k's at 5dimes... Unsure who else does pitcher strikeout props

Do you have a link stating standard vegas rules for player props is 8.5/9 innings? are you sure about that?

I was always under the impression that any wager involving a total needs to go 8.5/9 innings as the standard (maybe i just assumed 5dimes was standard).

I don't think it is for props. Just RL and Totals. We agree I think.

          I'm not really sure if there is even an "official" set of Las Vegas rules but Southpoint's say this;

          BASEBALL RULES

          1. TEAM NAME DENOTES ACTION. PITCHER NAME DENOTES LISTED PITCHER. A STANDS FOR ACTION. L STANDS FOR LISTED PITCHER.
          2. THE RESULT OF THE GAME IS OFFICIAL AFTER FIVE (5) INNINGS OR IF THE VISITING TEAM COMPLETES THE TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING AND THE HOME TEAM IS LEADING.
          3. IF A GAME IS CANCELLED OR SUSPENDED AFTER FIVE (5) INNINGS THE WINNER IS DETERMINED BY THE SCORE AFTER THE LAST FULL INNING (UNLESS THE HOME TEAM SCORES TO TIE, OR TAKES THE LEAD IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE INNING, IN WHICH CASE THE WINNER IS DETERMINED BY THE SCORE AT THE TIME THE GAME IS CALLED). EVENTS DO NOT CARRY OVER TO THE FOLLOWING DAY.
          4. TOTAL AND RUN LINE WAGERS WILL BE CONSIDERED ACTION IF NINE (9) FULL INNINGS ARE COMPLETED OR IF EIGHT AND A HALF (8 1/2) INNINGS ARE COMPLETED AND THE HOME TEAM IS WINNING. IN ADDITION, FOR RUN-LINE AND TOTAL WAGERS, LISTED PITCHERS MUST START FOR ACTION. IF A GAME IS CALLED OR SUSPENDED IN EXTRA INNINGS, THE TOTAL AND RUN WAGERS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE COMPLETION OF THE LAST COMPLETE FULL INNING. (UNLESS THE HOME TEAM SCORES TO TIE OR TAKE THE LEAD IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE INNING, IN WHICH CASE THE SCORE IS DETERMINED AT THE TIME THE GAME IS CALLED).

          FIRST FIVE (5) INNING WAGERS
          1. ALL WAGERS ON FIRST FIVE (5) INNINGS WILL BE DECIDED ON THE SCORE AT THE END OF FIVE (5) FULL INNINGS.
          2. ONCE FIVE (5) FULL INNINGS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, ALL WAGERS ON FIRST FIVE (5) INNINGS WILL STAND.
          3. ON ALL FIRST FIVE (5) INNING WAGERS, ORIGINAL LISTED PITCHERS MUST GO. ANY OFF-PITCHER CONSTITUTES NO ACTION.

i meant to ask if u had a link for 4.5/5 innings being the standard. i had never heard of such a thing being the standard for anything other than a moneyline

Honestly Bubba. You likely know more about Baseball betting than me but just from helping people with grading disputes I've been left thinking the 5 innings for action on props was pretty normal. The Southgate rules would grade it that way.

is southgate a casino in vegas? do you have a link? I am wondering how they word it. for pitcher props i guess i can see 5 innings making sense ( as bookmaker and heritage grade it like this, well heritage doesnt even need 5 innings) but id be shocked if any book would grade a hitter over under based on 5 innings. But i have been shocked before

They are a Vegas book (it's where VSIN broadcasts).

Westgate requires 9 innings for prop bets (check page 4). https://www.westgatedestinations.com...ouse_Rules.pdf

CircusCircus says Props are treated the same way as Totals there too.
I got the SouthPoint rules here

                    Hard to find any others.
