Hello, I believe I was treated unfairly, and free-rolled by MyBookie.com in regards to what they state is a "bad line" error, but what is even more alarming is that they cancelled my bet after the match was finished and completely deleted all evidence of me even placing the wager.
I have already had a few issues with this sportsbook since I signed up and there have been many red flags, and I'am more than positive that I was free-rolled by the book. First of all I'am not a scum or an experienced sports bettor who intentionally looks for bad-lines to exploit, I actually have never encountered this situation before and I did not bet it because of a bad line error, I was literally following a play from a poster who I always follow on cappersmall and can provide proof(***************************).
The play I followed is below:
"JML Friday NHL
Ducks +164 vs Canes
Flames -0.5 -118 vs Kings
1 Unit Each
GL"
I believe if nobody else bet the winning side and my bet was a loss, I'am sure they would not have reversed my loss and have stolen my $200 wager, and even if someone else placed the same wager, they probably would have still taken my money.
The day in question is 11/30/2018. I placed two NHL wagers at the exact same time
The first wager was:
The second wager was 3-WAY NHL Line wager on Calgary Flames -0.5 vs LA Kings +150 $200 to win $300
First of all the line was -115 to -120 on other sites but showing up as +150 on MyBookie which is the "bad line" in question.
The wager was pending the whole match, and was graded a winner and then deleted from my account. Because they deleted all trace of the wager, I do not have a Wager # or any screenshot. However I do have chat logs and screenshots of chat agents admitting that they cancelled my wager after the match, and they also weren't denying that I was in a free-roll situation where I was either going to lose $200 or win $0.
They offered me a $25 FP with a 5x rollover and I declined, asking to speak to a manager who then offered me a $50FP with a 5x rollover.
I have done my research on sbrforum and other websites on industry standards, and it seems to be clear that it is not common practice for the wager to be cancelled after the match, and I should atleast receive winnings based corrected and reflected using the real odds.
There have been cases where FanDuel paid out a bad line on a $110 to win $82,000 in a far worse bad-line error,
I can provide chat logs I copy-pasted but I also took screenshots as proof, as I have no other evidence than them admitting that this happened. Here is an imgur of screenshots;
MyBookie clearly doesn't care about customer service and is only concerned with their MLM practices and getting more money on the site by spamming customers with bonus offers and asking you to start signing up friends and receiving $200 straight cash in youre account etc.
I asked for an account closure after the matter, and was promised an email or response by a supervisor who would review my case and give me a response. However nothing happened and when I showed up to chat a week later the agent told me
A little background on MyBookie
I have already encountered several problems with the book in question and I can tell they are run out of a boiler-room style call center in costa rica.
- They seem to be more of a Multi-Level-Marketing company than a sportsbook, with clear MLM practices offering incentives using bonuses. Customer Support is not helpful at all, often spitting out verbatim and copy-pasting script messages. They seem to only be concerned with getting you to deposit more money, or getting you to sign up youre friends using their specialized customer service agent bonus code which always looks like "MyBookie200*AgentsName*" (eg. MYbookie200Michael if the agents name is "Michael"). Every agent spams this message in chat to you, and I believe it is a commission based bonus where the agents receive commission based on how many deposits they get under their code.
- They claim to be competitive with other major sportsbooks however almost every line on every major sporting event is juiced up on the favorite eg. Toronto Raptors -490/-500 on BET365/PINNACLE ETC. is -600 on MyBookie (this can be independently verified, by simply taking a look at their lines on any given day and comparing them to other books)
- Literally sounds like a boiler-room when you call in, you can here other agents yelling in the background, the customer service agents all sound very young and uninformed, and the manager has ultimate power to use their discretion on any decision.
- They have clearly ignored me on many issues. I have been waiting for a response on two separate support tickets FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. They basically got caught in lies on why my previous ticket was not responded too, as I talked to three different agents over a 2 week period who all stated the same thing, "the previous agent forgot to do it, I will submit the request now)... they all use the same excuse.
- Website is very glitchy, doesnt have basic features, such as a roll-over indicator or calculator, every time you want to check youre roll-over you have to go into chat and speak to an agent. Now the catch here is that, they don't have youre roll-over number either, so what they do is ask you to wait and then the agent calculates the roll-over on the spot by adding up your wagers. The other problem that you could ask two different agents youre current roll-over and they will always give you two completely different numbers, and then apologize saying some agents are new and do not know how to do roll-over properly..
- Sportsbook bonuses and freeplays with roll-overs are super common and there are books out there that offer reasonable bonuses and roll-overs, but I believe MyBookie is abusing the system and they try and trap customers with their large bonuses and marketing promotions, offering unusually high bonuses to attract inexperienced customers and then subsequently trapping them with their almost impossible roll-overs.
- You can deposit bitcoin and get a 500% bonus. If you speak to a manager and ask for their 500% bonus, you can deposit $1000, they will give an additional $5000 FreePlay Bonus (unusually large bonus) but you have to roll-over the original $1000 ten times, as well as the $5000 ten times, so basically you would have to place $60,000 in wagers. This may seem very attractive to inexperienced bettors but as taken from another sportsbook regulating site a 5x rollover has an expected loss of 25% after players meet the rollover requirements of the bonus. The higher the number of rollover, the larger the sportsbook’s edge. Considering the vig alone on each bet is 10%, the added edge from even a 5x rollover makes it almost impossible to walk away as a winner. Contrary to popular belief, sportsbooks that heavily offer promotions and bonuses usually don’t have the best odds.
- They offer bitcoin withdrawal/deposit but do no show what they use to quote the active Hello, I believe I was treated unfairly, and free-rolled by MyBookie.com in regards to what they state is a "bad line" error, but what is even more alarming is that they cancelled my bet after the match was finished and completely deleted all evidence of me even placing the wager.
