I would like to thank Olympic for bailing out BetCamelot (MarkDel) victims in the early 2000s. That's the only time I had a book go under, and a pretty significant loss was saved by them.

The founder was targeted as part of the Legends case and I believe The Greek ceasing servicing US clients was related to that mess.

I had a decent balance at the greek, so hats off to them for at least going out the right way. Not 100% ideal due to the different payout options between the books so i'll have to figure that part out, but at least there's an option available. For that i'm grateful.

Just an FYI: Received my payout 2 days after requesting it from Cris. Was a steep fee, but at least the funds arrived quickly...

The Greek always said "Sweat the game, not the payout." I don't think Spiros ever stiffed anybody. A stand up guy.

You would assume any decent book that has a large catalogue of clients would be best served to sell those accounts to another book for a price. What’s to be gained by just closing and stiffing everyone? Sell all those accounts to someone willing to buy the clients. It’s smart business.

Selling the clients, without their agreement, is not a great idea usually.

But I think The Greek's main concern was making sure their customers were looked after, rather than making as much as they could on exit.

If your Greek account was referred by SBR, does the affiliate transfer with it to Cris? In other words, will one be able to buy SBR store cash etc for the new Cris account if the old Greek account was referred by SBR?

What do you think players would prefer? Getting their accounts picked up by someone else or getting screwed out of their funds? Tough call.

The bookmaker they transferred your account to, BetCRIS.com/Bookmaker.eu is one of the better places for NBA player props.

For tonights NBA game, Warriors/Rockets, they have 27 player props up now ranging from total points, total points + assists and + rebounds

Optional's right about CRIS books offering 30 cent player props for playoffs, but during the regular season I don't believe they did.

Whereas I recall the Greek having them up all year long.

For me Greek's uniqueness was in NHL/NBA players wagers. One player vs another. Comparison. All year long. Thats it. No one has it.

PS i think Pinnacle and Betonline have best lines with individual player props.

One questions the sadness of this news? Yes, it was terrible news. Finest sports book I've ever played with. Excellent customer service, lightning-fast and efficient with payouts, never had a single hassle with them.

"Dead book for years and years"? Uhh, dead since May 1st, 2019. According to the calendar I use, that's 28 days, not "years and years".

Had to jump through hoops to receive funds from BetCris after ensuing transfer of account. Based on this experience, there is no way in hell BetCris should be graded an A+ book. No customer service phone number. Customers unable to access cashier without using a certain web browser--arbitrary, discriminatory and therefore stupid. Customer service hit-or-miss depending on the agent who responds to your chat request (read: at least one sarcastic, condescending asshole employed by BetCris). Some agents unable to explain things clearly in English or make statements that contradict the book's practices. Agents manipulated my account without notifying me, then closed the account without notifying me. This strikes me as extremely dodgy and I am considering filing a detailed report. A-plus my ass.

Surprise about this. My pending bets (TOR Raptors) was settled and credited to my BetCris account now. All is good.
