Hi All,
I was thinking about joining Wagerweb.eu. They are rated as A here at SBR.
I checked their t&c and noted this term:
3. WagerWeb is intended for the “Recreational Player Only”, any player that is found “abusing any rule or regulation”, “Professional Bettors”, “Syndicates”, or any Person betting “Steam Plays” or “Moves” will be subject to have their account suspended, earnings removed, and a Cashier’s Check will be sent to the Name and Address on File.
This term is a real worry because it basically states that any member can be suspended and winnings removed if, in the subjective opinion of Wagerweb, they are any of the above. For example, if you make a couple of sharp bets are you a "professional"? The term seems to be ambiguous because on the one hand it states "earnings removed" but then states cashier's check sent [and NOTE that since they take Bitcoin deposits they should at least have the facility for such a "suspended" member to receive their payout via Bitcoin - a USD cashier's check for someone in the EU is useless compared to Bitcoin).
It is the right of every Sportsbook to suspend or limit someone's account. I would not mind the term above if it merely stated that your account could be suspended for the reasons given. Many bookies limit or suspend. That is ok. What worries me is the "earnings removed" part.
So - I have started this thread to ask two questions:
1. How is it possible to have a Sportsbook rated A here at SBR and for that Sportsbook to have a term like the one above? It is a completely subjective term and all members' funds would be at risk with this sportsbook depending on how and when Wagerweb management decided to interpret and apply this term
2. Have any members here had this term invoked against them and had their "earnings" removed? Do members here find Wagerweb ok and deserved of their A rating?
Regards to all
