1bet.com Scam / Account closed and all money confiscated
Unfortunately after the recent hacking scandal 1bet.com (Bellona N.V Company) now seems to have found a new way to steal the customers' money.

After requesting a withdrawal last week, I today got notified that my account was closed due to an alleged violation of the rule “A Customer may open only one account on the Website and with the Company”, leading to the fact that all "wrongfully gained account balance has been redeemed".

1bet claims that they have evidence that my IP and the same HTTP-Cookie had been used to access another account. This is a blatant lie. My account with them is in use since 2014, no one has access to my personal computer, nor did I ever register a second account with that company.

I am afraid this means all money (around EUR 4000) is gone?! Or can SBR be of any help with that?

by the way, origin of the money on the account are long term bets which were placed in Summer 2019, before I became aware of the hacking scandal posted on here (plus some recently placed bets just to reach a deposit rollover to be able to request a withdrawal).

It would be good if you send in the details on a Sportsbook Complaint form so the dispute analyst looking after all of those knows about this move. But we have not got anywhere with them to date.

thanks, I will send in a complaint, and hope for the best.

Seems like their "anti-gnoming software" is either faulty or manipulated though, so yeah, it's probably gonna be difficult

unfortunately I never received a reply on this. I know there's not much of a chance for a good outcome, but did you get any kind of response from 1bet?

okay, thanks. I also messaged the licensor and potentially responsible conciliation boards in Curacao, but no one ever replied either.

a quick update on that: this changed after I hired a lawyer in Curacao, specialized on E-Gaming (thanks to Lonnie for the contact) a couple of months ago, and in the end 1bet temporarily re-opened the account, so that I was able to withdraw my money now.

Awesome update, meaning that even circus Curacao license can be challenged, good work Lonnie and Infotimbo.

                      Hello,

I'm also having issues with another Curacao licensed book and am very interested in hearing about the services of this lawyer. Did you have to travel to Curacao or did you speak to him by phone or videochat? Did he actually go to court for you or what actually did the trick? Just a written letter to the company?
How long did the process take from the moment you contacted the lawyer and the moment you got access to your money back?
And how much did the lawyer charge? Since your claim was "only" 4000 euro I cannot imagine you wanted to spend much on this? Got it done for a couple hundreds?

I would greatly appreciate some answers. If you don't feel you can post these infos in this thread, then please answer on the PM I sent you.
                      Thanks!

I sent him a PM, yeah.

I didn't have to travel to Curacao for this. We communicated via e-mail and Whatsapp (call), agreed on the financial conditions, and he sent an ultimatum to 1bet to pay until a certain date. The (sub-)licensor then came up with some "proof" from 1bet the weeks after, including more details about the alleged double account, about payments made, and so on, spread over a couple of different e-mails.

Among others, they claimed that I had used the same Skrill address to fund the second account, including payments after my account was closed. This obviously was easy to prove wrong with statements from Skrill. I don't know if this made the difference, but after we did so, they paid my full balance. From the moment he took action, it took around ~6 weeks maybe to get the money.

I think Lonnie needs to post that lawyers name in the suite. Or perhaps SBR get intouch with the lawyer and maybe hash out an advertising deal.

I posted a link up there. In case you didn't see it (I asked him if it's fine to share his name on here, btw, and he agreed):
