Epidemic process effected bookmakers seriously. Asian giants sbo & IBC are out of business. Pinnacle last man standing and of course the lovely exchange Betfair..
There's probably a good explanation for this: covid threw off a lot of sportspeople, surprise illnesses, screwing with schedules, the mental pressures etc etc etc. In that scenario models will be weaker, subjective understanding relatively stronger.

Betfair market sharper then Pinnacle recently.
Has SBO really gone out of business? I have an account there with a very small balance and I have logged on today with no issues. Balance is correct.
Sawyer hinted that they don't accept any sharp action anymore and are acting like regular soft-books.
Based on my experience, I would correct you a little bit- SBO don't accept any sharp action that comes from brokers anymore but if you are living in a country where sbo still allow players from then you can place bets directly on sbo website without using brokers and such bets will not be voided.
Was your account limited? Do you know anyone whose account was limited? It is true that sbo limits are a joke nowadays but I thought that the limits are equally small for everyone. I've never heard of sbo imposing personal limits to any accounts.

My limit is around $10 USD effective on most markets - my account is through a broker. On major events I might get $30 or $40 USD effective.

As to broker accounts' limits, everything is clear. Broker accounts' limits are a joke. But I am talking about not broker accounts but direct accounts that you get when you sign up directly on sbobet website without using brokers.

Definitely, these are important factors, I agree with you.
In addition, soft bookmakers are getting smarter maybe.
Even value bets profitability decreased recently..
@craftbrewer, Sbobet normal accounts got double agent limits so they are still worthless.

Seems they only care for asian market, limits for europeans are joke even if you bet directly with them

I have a normal sbo account and of course my limits are small (especially comapred to what they used to be). Opening lines' limits are 75 usd on small markets and 150usd on top markets but on matchday closer to kickoff they become much higher. On top soccer markets like English premier league, Bundesliga, Italy Serie A on matchday my limits are 2000 usd which is enough for me.

2000 usd are more than enough for me as well, however, i needed them for smaller leagues and early lines. So practically for me are worthless
Sure. If there's no Pinnacle, there's always Betfair.
Not to mention; in live betting, you don't even need to look at Pinnacle. Betfair owns it.
Pinnacle is not very efficient in live betting. Specially in smaller leagues.

But there“s been problems with accounts closing on Betfair right?
