Justbet asking me to take selfie holding my ID
I didn't request payout since I have a rollover to meet.
However I have only 300 to go out of 20000 rollover so almost done
This morning I was trying to place a bet and when I place submit button to place the bet it
told me to call customer service.
After talking to the customer service agent he told me to send a selfie me holding my Drivers license.
I already sent my Drivers license before and was verified so I sent the selfie as well.
About 30 minutes later it showed verified and I was able to place the bet again.

    Is this common thing?
I mean I didn't request the payout yet but I was in a good roll and few rollover left.

Just curious and please let me know if you had same experience in Justbet
    thanks

Some books are requiring you to take a selfie of you holding your ID on a PO.

Never heard of that while wagering.

I also play at Justbet. I haven't been asked for a selfie yet, but they have requested my driver's license twice in the past 3 years. Not sure why since I've been with them for 20 years and live at the same address. Hope this helps.

I contacted them again and they refused to tell me at first.

After serveral times asking they told me the main reason is because I am out of country right now.

I did notify them that I will be out of country for few months due to my business.

They told me it is to protect my account.

Didn't know Sportsbooks care so much about customer's account safety?

If it is true , I give them A+

Yeah, but in my case it was always when I tried to withdraw that ID was required. Seems that safety was not their concern when I was depositing. That said, JB is a solid Book, no worries.

I've only had them ask for an ID. I can see why they'd want some extra security if you are logging in from a foreign country.

Typical behaviour for all Euro books now coming to Americas.

Calling bullsht JJ. Barstool & BetMGM have requested a selfie holding ID when trying to get paid. Barstool actually had the audacity to ask again for a later payout. Ballys online casino required it just to open an account.

Yes, and I had to send a selfie to BetRivers as well. Even U.S. banks are now starting to ask for selfies to help confirm identity. It's hardly a strange request these days. It's a smart move, security wise, and it takes a minute to comply with.

Almost everyone hates it the first time they are asked.

                      It feels out of line.

I don't have a full solution in mind but having every bookmaker people use collect lots of personal info on top of basic ID is not the way to go imho.

A single non-industry body should handle ID/KYC etc and all hard data should be instantly destroyed once processed.
                      .

I'd be cool with that. That's not happening anytime soon though.
