This is a warning to anyone signing up for Betano's $500 new account bonus.
I deposited $500 and accepted the $500 bonus, placed some MLB wagers and then noticed that my wager limits were lowered down to $1.50 per wager.
The rollover requirements for this bonus are 10X the bonus, so $5000 worth of wagers. At the time the $1.50 wager limit was applied, $4000 of rollover requirements still remained. After contacting Betano customer service to ask for the reason for the limits and informing them of the unreasonableness of the decision given the remaining rollover left, all I received were copy and paste responses that didn't address the fact that it would be nearly impossible to fulfill the rollover requirements.
The conditions of the bonus are that the rollover needs to be met within 30 days of the deposit and if that doesn't happen, the entire account balance gets forfeited. In my case, I had nearly $1000 in account balance which has been confiscated by Betano. This is bizarre because the bonus amount itself was $500, but Betano confiscated more than this amount. The winnings from the MLB wagers that I was able to get were essentially stolen by Betano as well since the amount forfeited is greater than the amount of the $500 bonus provided by Betano.
What prevents a sportsbooks from providing a bonus with rollover requirements and then imposing such miniscule limits which makes it nearly impossible to complete the rollover? Engaging in tactics like this is the equivalent of stealing customer balances. Given the bet limits imposed and the rollover requirements remaining, over 3000 wagers would have needed to be placed in order to meet these rollover requirements. Goes without saying, but it's clear that Betano's intention here was to steal my entire account balance after they decided to impose these ridiculous tactics. I even lost the winnings that I legitimately made from MLB wagers.
Optional, you wrote that you would contact me directly via email, but I have yet to receive a response. The sportsbook complaint feature remains disabled on SBR.
