***BETONLINE - live betting scam*** protect yourself
Beware of BETONLINE’s new tactic to screw you over. I have video and chat transcript of the issue and what they are doing and their response.

on their “new live betting platform” they show you the odds of the game at the current moment. Say you are trying to bet on the Lakers moneyline during the 2nd quarter, so you select the money-line option and the confirmation ticket comes up for you to put your money amount and click submit. But what they are doing is when you click on the moneyline for the game and your confirmation ticket comes up, it says moneyline - 1st half. So you’re in a hurry to get your live bet in at the odds you like, and they are trying to make you bet on the half and not the game that you originally selected.

their response? “All the details are there when you press confirm”… knowing you are basically on a ticking time for each bet before it changes.[/PHP]

No one is waiting to make posts here. Signed up years ago and never been back since. From the looks of it, you spend your days here….

Happened to me today. Bet the chiefs for first half -220 thinking it was for the game. Of course lost the first half but won the game.
Seems to happen most often if at the end of a quarter.

So for those of us who don’t use BO - are they disclosing the fact you are betting 1H money lines and players just rushing through and ignoring this when clicking over to ML option - or are they failing to display it’s a 1H money line until after wager is placed and accepted ?!?

Obviously 1 is on the player (clearer language showing it’s a half only would be nice - but duty to pay attention falls on player) and 1 is fraud potentially.

If it’s a software thing - it’s basically a live and learn issue unfortunately. As long as they disclose it’s 1H only and you click submit - that’s on you for not reading small print.

And guaranteed no one ever complained about this after accidentally winning on a first half and then losing the game. Likewise - while some events it may be less obvious that your betting half only - others it should be pretty clear your getting a line far different than the market.

Basically there is a list of live games in 3 columns, the first being point spread, the second moneyline for the game, and the third total points.
However, occasionally I have found during quarter breaks, the first column shifts to game moneyline, and the second rather than the usual game moneyline is the quarter moneyline. There appears to be no notification of this other than when your ticket appears. If you are in hurry to wager (which i usually am due to such a long delay in bets being accepted) this difference may not be noticed. I don't really see it as being theft, however I can say I have only lost once due to this and never won because of it, but it does require more attention to detail.

Understood - so yes with live betting by nature you need to move quickly as the event can change quickly or be suspended.

Sounds like a website issues that could be adjusted to better reflect event details and what column aligns with half vs full - but agree - not a scam.

Like I said - it’s funny - it’s a scam when some people lose - but if it goes in their favor at worst it’s a stroke of good luck (or we hear nothing until they lose - then it’s a scam).

It’s best just to click on the game and get the entire display of wagers.
