West I believe we just upgraded this book to a D about a week ago. If this turns out to be legit this will be the first slow pay in about 2 months. You just can't risk getting stiffed for this much coin.

One trick you or anyone else might try at slow pay books is to ask them is there any way to get my money? Western Union? Neteller? Check? All books have cash somewhere unless they are closing in the next 24 hrs. Dont worry about the fees just get what you can.

FWIW, I have made 7 Neteller payout requests of $2500 from Royal in the last 3 months. I received them all and only 1 was slow (by a couple of days).

Unfortunately they do have that $2500/day, $5000/wk max rule. That would mean 12 weeks to get the full amount for you. I'd hope some special arrangements could be made in a case like yours to expedite that.

My only question is how you managed to win so much cash. They cut my MLB limits down to the point where it was pointless for me to even look at the book any more.

your situation sounded alot like mine. It took 3 weeks to get a check after several lame excuses. Also, I have requested about 6 or 7 neteller withdrawals NONE of which have arrived when promised and required further calls. In short, they ALWAYS slow paid me BUT they did eventually pay. I have come to learn not to leave 5 figures in there before I start the collection process which takes weeks. I have heard they have a quota on how much they are allowed to give out each month and as the end of the month rolls around you are very likely to get delayed....Its too bad because it not only hurts their reputation...but I wont play again until fully paid...this costs them a lot of action....Persevere...its going to be a hassle but I think youll get paid.....eventually

The owner is an old casino owner that stiffed his entire clientelle and closed the doors. He has the old "casino mentality" where he figures if he slow pays you long enough, you will eventually play again and lose.

DO NOT PLAY AGAIN WITH THEM UNTIL YOU ARE PAID IN FULL...and even then, I would never play again with them. There are far too many quality outs to deal with Tej and this slow paying shit book.

Don't bet any of the money. They are slow paying you in the hopes that you'll get desperate and bet it all and lose, like that lying guy with the lie detector did(check RX search feature). Don't give them the chance to screw you.

The David1 case (the player who lied about his last two wagers) is a remarkable example of how Royal operates.

The player posted up 60 dimes and managed to build his balance to close to 200 dimes. He then asked for his money out and got the runaround for three weeks.

He was then finally put in touch with King who basically told him that Royal would have taken "some time" (likely between April and SuperBowl) to pay him, since he had decided not to wager anymore.

He was then told he would have been paid 10K a week if he had kept on wagering.

The player did wrong in accepting the proposal and even more in lying about his last two wagers.

That said King approached the player some ten days ago offering him a 5K bonus to come back

David1 finally did something right and told King to shove his "bonus" up his .....

Let's wait and see what the facts are.

I'm not defending Royal but their rules are there and players, especially big players, should read them..

Russ(majorwager owner) and Tej(Royal owner) are partners in all kinds of projects so don't expect him to acknowledge a Royal slow pay. I could be wrong but I dont think he ever has, even when Royal was admitting slow pays russ pretended not to be aware of any. After about the 112th verified slow pay his tune changed that; Well OK, Yes they slow pay but what the hell, at least they pretty much pay eventually.

Back to the rules. Royal is run like a casino because that is one area that Tej and Russ & Company have made some good money. They wrote the rules to limit how much a player could withdraw for a reason, so a player would lose it back. So far they have proven that this works.

Read the rules and follow them. If you dont like them then dont join. If you do join then dont complain if the book follows the rules.

I agree John if their rules state they only pay a certain amount per week then the player should not come running here complaining.

However, the David case was as clear cut as one can get. They slow paid the guy in the first place which led to the eventual mess. However, Russ only focused on the guy lying not the slow pay.

If he is indeed partners with Tej as you say then he should be in jail not running a so called "watchdog" site.

TT of course he was slow paid, Royal admitted that. russ thinks he's coy at changing the subject when one his partners gets caught cheating. His posters dont challenge him because they dont want their personal info used. tej will run a background on them and give the info to clev. But they are not fooling very many...they think they are and thats the funny part. They have soo many receiving tej/russ's dollars that sometimes it seems loud but its not. Players know the Scores.

Russ flat out told me yesterday that Royal doesn't slow pay. He is also living in a web of deceit if what you are saying is true about him being partners with Tej. He said yesterday he believes Tej doesn't control the money. Why would he make Tej out to be a bad guy but is in bed with him?

I don't know except its the worse kept secret in CR. Did you see russ grab majorbetting and run when tej was announced as the owner? At the Rx bash I just told folks not to tell me because I dont care, and I dont. They both know I'm not going to play their personal games and rat-out games. But when a player gets slow paid we are going to let the world know...but until then, the rest of the side show just bores me.

Has anyone ever seen the weekly limit in Royal's rules? I have looked through their deposit/payout page and some of their rules and I don't see it anywhere. I guess people are told about it on a "need to know" basis.

Even if they do have it, it is a sure sign of a toilet book. What happened to "It's your money, when you want it, we send it?" That should be a given, not "Well sometimes they take a while but they always pay in the end."

Forums alone will not bring the advertising dollars the owners are used to making. A forum-only business model is certainly destined for failure sooner than later. The advertisers are not going to stand for the extortion and deceit that goes along with paying for a spot. What you will start to see is forum owners grasping for straws to hang on to the money they have come so accustomed to making. Pretty soon, the only sites that will prevail with advertising revenue are ones that offer the user something useful. A bunch of bitching and moaning from 50 real people and 500 ghosts just wont cut it anymore. Take for a prime example SBR's Live Lines. That is offering something useful for the player, and holds no guarantees and doesnt stir up controversy or tout unecessarily.

It is already happening. Just take a look at TheRX. They were once the most dominant advertising out for big shops. They are now being turned down by books like Pinnacle and Cascade and having to take books on with an affiliate program. That was unheard of for TheRX.

These high prices to advertise on the forum are already gone. They all get the same traffic basically anyway. The good books understand that they will get their advertising on EVERY forum anyway with word of mouth...which is much better than a banner anyway.

. I've asked many times over there for MW's promised accounting of what Tej's actual position is at Royal, which was promised right after the player scammed Royal thing. I'm still waiting. I'd love to see Clev do a full investigation and uncovering of it. She's damn good at that stuff, and that's one that should be pursued and I'm sure she would get to the bottom of it. Every time I post that there, it just sits there and dies, with Truthteller about the only one responding, or it gets deleted. I guess Cindy Lauper said it best. Money Changes everything.

You hear that a lot from the forum regulars who get loan shark type bonuses on the funds that didn't get so they will stay content. That is fine for the locals who realize what they are getting into but Royal is actually servicing some big phone players who have little connection to the net and are worn down by Royal's tactics.

A large player has contacted us because Royal has slow-paid him for 3 mos and by the third month he blew out. When he saw the forum case where Royal was offering to pay 20k to a player that lost his money, he was very upset and contacted management. They offered him a 5 figure "settlement" as well but have yet to send it as promised.

There is little that can be done for players who have made the decision to bet their funds. How can anyone say who deserves a rebate and how much it should be for?

However, the player made the point that he made some big bets after months of waiting because he thought it would be the only way he would get his funds. They weren't paying on his stagnant account. There is no question that a book can have success manipulating their clients this way.

I asked her how she could work for someone who is advertising Royal and she said "no comment"

I wouldn't judge since I don't know her financial situation.

Too be honest, I was going too take a trip too get a few books too pull advertising from a few sites. Until the owners become businessmen and not lying scumbag con-artists I will do my best too make them lose ad revenue. I don't like lying cheating con artist scumbags.

I do think major books are going to pull adds from forum websites if they think some type of lying is going on.

I believe the sportsbooks are getting frustrated with forums and the games some play.

I think the time is right. The good books dont want to be up there with the thieves but they dont want the evil and extortion that comes with coming down. They have to be persuaded that this is the right thing and the time is NOW. They have to know that what Roy of Rio went through, those days are history and that the legit sites will back them against the extorters.

And good on your for taking the lead - it would be so much easier to sit back and do nothing.

Hopefully the good books will realise that getting rid of the thieves will be so much better for the industry as a whole.
