Nothing is bizarre about it. This type of thing happens often.
Guy deposits $1k. Takes a shot with some big parlays. If he hits, tries to cash out his 5-figures. If he loses, just does a **********. Probably uses his "friends" so he can keep making deposits, because at this point all the books have him flagged.
