BetVictor closed my account after ONE bet and is currently holding my funds

Quite new to this board, I have been lurking for a few weeks now and I thought I would share my first bad experience with a sportsbook.

I registered with BetVictor and deposited 25 GBP two weeks ago. Without receiving any bonus I made a single bet for 25 GBP. My bet won and a few hours later I received an email saying that a business decision had been taken and that my account had been closed. Tried to ask what was going on but couldn't get any more information than that it had been a decision from their "senior traders". I was told to send in various documentation to verify my account, and that I after verifying would receive the money in to my bank account. So I sent in all the necessary documentation and then got a reply saying my documents had been accepted and my account had been verified. I was told that the payment had been sent via a TT payment and that it would take up to 10 days before the payment would be in my account.

10 days have now passed and I still haven't receive my money, so I emailed them to ask what is going on. I got a reply saying that the payout has been cancelled and the security department is still verifying my account. I haven't received any notice about the cancellation of my payout and now I don't get any further information of the reason for this. How can they not tell me the payout had been cancelled? Very frustrating.

I really have no idea what is going on with this site, I only have one account, I didn't use any bonus, I sent in all the documents they asked for, I am registered at my current adress, alls my information is correct and matches. I hope I will get my money back within time, but the information and service from BetVictor.com has been extremely poor so far.

They are trying to defraud you. This is standard MO for them and similar to what happened to me. (Amount was a couple of order of magnitudes off.) This is the classic security scam that books run nowadays to defraud sharps.

I never had any problems with VC (betvictor now), but looks like these things are happening everytime, i will remove my money from there.

File a complaint (link at the bottom of this post). This book works very well with SBR.

I doubt they are trying to defraud you. They may suspect you of opening up multiple accounts... but I am surprised it is taking them this long to reach a decision.

Justin, I did. You handled it. You may recall the details of it. Some quick facts:

1) They repeatedly told you that the complaint was settled, when it was not.
2) They didn't release any of their "proprietary system" about vetting documents.
3) I submitted no further documentation after you got involved.

My case was very similar. I submitted documents, was told I was going to be paid, and then was told I would not be paid. You can (or I can and you can corroborate via the e-mails I sent you) the facts of my case, if you're willing to actually make it public via the newswire. I don't think the people you work for would ever let that happen though. Shockingly every time I ask for any of the facts on issues I have with books, no one wants to continue the discussion?!?!

Every other forum I've been involved with would not permit a poster to keep making accusations such as this obnoxious character has been doing without being able or prepared to substantiate them.

The SportsAlive fiasco has exposed him as lacking credibility. He has also falsified his earnings and wagers. There is no one who isn't a complete idiot betting liquid prices on the largest sports in the world who does this for a decade without being filthy rich or a fraud, much less for over 4 decades. Back to BetVictor fabrications. Has anything been done? Management decision to pad the bottom line? Have you tried to ask what was wrong with your documents? They are BAD bookie, in past I was playing their ''beat victor'' and after I won 2 times their 5€ free bet(although in rules it was stated that it would be 5 britain pounds), they send me an email in which they informed that i can no longer play in their ''beat fat victor'' competition.

And that was cauze of 10 euros of free bets. I would never deposit at them.
