Your telegram is nice. Well organized with all sports and running records. I'll keep an eye on it. Tennis is all that I cap anymore.
It looks like your tennis is off to a good start this year. I haven't had a 40+ unit year like you had last year in over a decade. That's tough to do.
I believe you may have forgotten to add your AO futures into your record. Or maybe you don't include them, although I thought you did when you've posted here in the past.Comment -
To Maizey I fixed that just now. I do bet futures from a different sector of my bankroll per se and don’t ever count them in the record as it wouldn't Make sense. I will include them in the units record this year although I really do NOT suggest attacking tennis futures in terms of trying to gain profits from betting.
In fact I would suggest staying away from futures for the most part altogether unless you are a very seasoned bankroll disciplined bettor. I find that most times people overbet futures (which are usually higher hold markets to begin with) they don’t get best prices in market bc 1) they don’t have enough outs 2) they don’t shop enough. The other issue (not so much in terms of tennis or golf) but futures in general tie up your money for a long period of time. Also would suggest never taking significant future positions from a PPH account as I got free rolled a time ago when I was younger and when I did hit a big one they said bet was invalid for some asinine reason.
Again, I’m not saying there is never ever value in futures in fact there are times where there can be tremendous value if you can get ahead of things way before market understands (example at a time Iga was 20/1 & 30/1 to win some tournaments bc people didn’t understand yet that she was going to be one of if not the best ever). But as a blanket statement for less experienced bettors (which are filling the space more and more) it’s a better idea to just avoid future markets altogether. Just like it’s better to avoid all the SGP markets for the most part despite there being some value opportunities here and there.
and to Leovegas. I was wondering why I lost 3 of 4!! Just kidding. I will suggest to you what I suggest to everyone. And the following isn’t directed at you as you may be very seasoned and this stuff seems academic to you but it’s still a good reminder for all.
1) Never chase or overbet the next back trying to get back losses fast.
2) Practice bankroll management - 1% bankroll per unit at the absolute max (unless Floyd Mayweather is only a -180 favorite in a boxing ring against a non boxer like Connor Mcgregor lol. (meaning (I actually come from a stance that suggests less than 1% actually for reasons that I could explain at another time — although some will argue you are stunting growth — but it really depends on the volume/risk tolerance etc) so if bankroll is 1000$ you should not have more than a 10$ unit size). But should reevaluate unit size every month minimum (some do daily or weekly which is fine also)
3) have as many outs as possible and line shop or use an app/odds site for a quick view of finding the best line
if anyone ever has questions about any of this stuff I am always glad to help. Most people are doing this recreational which is totally fine. I am not— I take this very serious. I am not a pro but I do consider this a very focused side gig or 2nd job. I love numbers and math and have developed a very solid understanding of them. No, im blessed with some math ability but im not trying to convince anyone that I’m smarter than them. There are hundreds and thousands of people that are far better at this than I am.
I see a lot of nonsense on social media these days - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY thinking that the PEOPLE BETTING A BIG AMOUNT PER GAME are automatically smart or have any clue what they are doing.
Im seeing all these tickets lately on social media of very very large amounts on “same game parlays”. For the most part - if you can even get down these amounts on the SGPs those books aren’t considering you “sharp” and are welcoming your action for a reason.
sorry for the rambling but just felt the need to express this bc had some questions and also it’s Super Bowl Sunday where people always feel the need to bet huge just bc the game is huge. That’s a big mistake. Again there are plenty of edges out there bc there are so many betting options but no need to overbet bc bets even with an edge can have bad results due to the variance monster.
