2023 NCAA March Madness Opening Odds

Sportsbooks aren’t wasting any time offering 2023 March Madness odds, and college basketball enthusiasts can already begin considering where to plant their flags for next year.
While a lot will change over the coming weeks, if the 2022 Men’s NCAA National Championship Tournament taught us anything, it’s that power programs are always a threat.
The North Carolina Tar Heels just reinforced that with an appearance in the championship game after entering the tournament as a No. 8 seed.
Of course a lot will change leading into the season and during it, but the future markets are one avenue to find greater value and payouts. After all, it’s a lot harder to predict and handicap the teams a year in advance.

There are a couple interesting immediate takeaways.
The odds at FanDuel Sportsbook essentially have two tiers with 10 teams between +1300 and +1700 to win the National Championship, and then a drop all the way down to the +3000 range.
DraftKings Sportsbook and Caesars Sportsbook have gradual odds climbs, so the difference between the three sportsbooks reinforces how beneficial it can be to seek out the best available number.
For example, the Duke Blue Devils range from +900 at DraftKings to +1500 at Caesars. Similarly, DraftKings has the largest number for the Baylor Bears at +2200, compared to +1500 at FanDuel, and +1800 at Caesars.
The Tar Heels, Gonzaga Bulldogs and Villanova Wildcats also have a wide range of odds across the three sportsbooks.
Of course, on top of the better odds and payouts, building a futures portfolio can also create opportunities to ensure you’re able to hedge out profit.Make sure to keep an eye on our Live Odds page throughout the week to get the best lines possible and connect with others in the SBR community on our popular sports betting forum.
