The Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) has released its sports betting figures for June 2024, and our best sports betting sites are showing some year-over-year growth in the Hoosier State.

The report revealed that $298.2 million was wagered during the month. This figure represents a 33.1% increase from last June when the Indiana sports betting scene collected $224.1 million in wagers. With these latest figures added, Indiana has become the eighth state to surpass $17 billion in all-time handle.

More details

Following payouts on winning wagers, Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) for June came in at $30.5 million. Compared to last June's $19.5 million, AGR was up 56.8%. However, against May, AGR was down 21.8%, and handle dipped 17.5%. It was a month-over-month dip for Indiana sports betting apps.

DraftKings (Ameristar Casino) reported the highest handle of $114.1 million, followed by FanDuel (Blue Chip Casino) with $83.9 million. However, FanDuel led the way in terms of AGR, with $11.8 million, compared to DraftKings' $10.0 million. BetMGM (Belterra Casino) took third place, reporting $28.7 million in handle and $3.3 million in AGR. That trio of operators combine to make some of the most enticing Indiana sportsbook promos.

The IGC report also detailed the handle by sport, which revealed that $83.5 million was wagered on baseball in June, followed by $33.3 million in basketball bets, and football accounting for $2.7 million. The “Other” category totaled $90.5 million and $88.1 million came from parlay bets.

The IGC is responsible for regulating all gambling activities at the 13 riverboat casinos and 12 mobile sportsbooks in Indiana. It publishes its monthly revenue reports between the 10th and 13th of each month.
