Manchester City Near Lock To Win Premier League According to Sportsbooks

Manchester City have one hand on the Premier League trophy according to various sportsbooks.

The Citizens 5-1 win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers puts them three points clear of Liverpool with two games to play for either side. Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored four goals in the contest.

Sportsbooks are confident that City can finish the job, with the updated odds reflecting that.

City are priced as much as -3333 on BetMGM, an implied 97.1 percent probability. Liverpool are priced as high as +1400 over at FanDuel Sportsbook, which is a 6.7 percent probability.

The reason for the big discrepancy in odds is that the title can be decided before Liverpool even plays their next game on May 17.

The maximum number of points The Reds can get to at this point of the season is 92. With City sitting at 89 and with the better goal difference as the tiebreaker, a win against West Ham on May 15 can send the title to the blue side of Manchester for a second straight year and for the fourth time in five seasons.

City opened as the betting favorites to win the title in May of 2021 at -140. Liverpool opened as +525 favorites to win the title. The Premier League season officially ends on May 22.
