On Wednesday, MGM Resorts and the New York Yankees announced a partnership that will focus on delivering exclusive VIP experiences to MGM Rewards members and baseball fans. MGM Resorts' parent company also owns BetMGM, one of our best sports betting sites.

Designated the "Proud Partner" of the Yankees, MGM Resorts has bolstered its involvement in the New York sports betting landscape and MLB.

"The two organizations will collaborate to deliver exclusive VIP experiences to MGM Rewards members and baseball fans," MGM Resorts said in a press release, "including the opportunity to watch batting practice from the warning track and throw out a ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium."

In addition, MGM Resorts will look to enhance and heighten its exposure and profile by advertising via LED signage at Yankee Stadium, and the BetMGM logo will appear on the back of the pitcher's mound during local broadcasts for designated games.

How MGM Resorts' Empire City Casino benefits

Yankees-themed fan activities and experiences featuring MLB players and alumni will occur at MGM Resorts' Empire City Casino, another perk of the recently announced partnership.

"We remain committed to investing in the community, while collaborating with the New York Yankees to provide unparalleled experiences for baseball fans," said Bill Hornbuckle, MGM Resorts CEO & President.

"Our company has owned and operated Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway for the past five years. As we continue working to secure a full commercial casino license at Empire City, this partnership allows us to further develop these properties to their potential, while providing the world-class hospitality guests have come to expect from the MGM Resorts brand."

While the press release does not directly mention it, the new partnership may impact the New York sportsbook promos offered by BetMGM.

The partnership should help MGM Resorts' exposure while allowing the iGaming company to create more responsible gaming and betting awareness.

More about MGM Resorts' MLB partnership

When MGM Resorts partnered with MLB in 2018, it became the "Official Gaming Partner of MLB."

MGM Resorts has been referred to as an "Official Partner of MLB Players, Inc." since 2022, according to the company's press release.

BetMGM, owned by MGM and Entain plc, is one of the most prominent and successful New York sports betting apps.
