New Jersey Preliminary Super Bowl 59 Betting Figures

The figures are starting to come in, and Super Bowl 59 looks like it was a strong day for our best sports betting sites.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) and Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin have released insights into wagers and payouts from Sunday’s Super Bowl 59.
Preliminary wagering statistics show that approximately $168.7 million was wagered on the Super Bowl this year, with projected payouts of $143.5 million. That leaves sportsbooks with revenues of $25.2 million. These figures represent New Jersey’s 11 retail sportsbooks and 14 New Jersey sports betting apps.
The total wagered increased by 19% compared to the Super Bowl in 2024, when it was $141.6 million. The payout was projected to be $133.1 million, and sportsbooks ended the year with $8.5 million in revenues in the New Jersey sports betting market.
Comparing the figures between 2025 and 2024 shows that the projected payout to bettors this year is lower than last year. This year, 85% of the total wagered is projected to be paid, whereas in 2024, the projected payout was 94%.
GeoComply confirms growth
GeoComply provides anti-fraud and compliance technology for many sports betting operators in the US, and its systems allow it to track how many active players are betting during a particular sports event.
According to data from the Super Bowl, 14% more accounts were active during Super Bowl LIX compared to the prior year. The operator shared that there were 535,000 geolocation transactions in New Orleans, where the game was held over the weekend, coming from more than 60,400 accounts.
It makes sense for bettors in the Garden State to use legal sportsbooks and take advantage of New Jersey sportsbook promos.
Decisive victory provides bettors with Super Bowl payouts
The Super Bowl saw the Philadelphia Eagles score a decisive win against the Kansas City Chiefs, scoring 40–22. According to Macquarie Equity Research, 83% of the public took Over 48.5 points, meaning the high-scoring game provided plenty of payouts.
The second most popular bet was on the Philadelphia Eagles to win the game, with the moneyline at +110.
The early game saw the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley, the most popular choice among bettors to win Super Bowl LIX Most Valuable Player, fail to break the Kansas City defensive line.
Throughout the first half of the game, Kansas City’s Travis Kelce was also held without a catch, another player many bettors had favored. Kelce featured in many prop bets across the US, including Taylor-Swift themed wagers in Oregon and bets on whether he would propose to hit popstar girlfriend.
