After a year-plus layoff, Tiger Woods' return to action was successful, shooting a 1-under 71.

He played the first nine holes to even par, despite spraying his tee shot on the 9th and missing the green on approach, but he scrambled to make par.

His back nine was more successful.

He would birdie the Par 5 13th hole only to give it right back on the next hole; it was disappointing, but it was not shocking considering the volatility in scoring today.

However, he would birdie hole 16 and make par the rest of the way, ending his day -1.

Considering Woods hadn't played a competitive round of golf in over a year, his game was remarkable.
