Our college football player props had a successful showing last weekend, and I’m pleased with how the card turned out for my Week 5 college football player props.

Not only did we post a winning record in our Week 4 college football player props, but we also capitalized on the theme of targeting rushing quarterback props.

I enjoyed betting the Under on Dylan Raiola and Arch Manning's rushing props, only for both players to finish with negative yards.

While the edge on those rushing props has since evaporated, we're targeting three receivers this week with dramatically different outlooks.

As part of our Week 5 college football predictions, here are my favorite props this weekend:

Jeremiah Hunter Under 36.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I prefer to start with a Friday pick to help set the tone for the weekend. Of all the props I’ve targeted, betting against Washington receiver Jeremiah Hunter offers the most value ahead of his matchup with Rutgers.

Hunter is a distant third on the team in targets (15), trailing Giles Jackson (29) and Denzel Boston (31). He’s tied for fourth on the team in receptions (10), though half of those catches came in the season opener.

This number is inflated compared to his role over the past two weeks. I’m taking this Under at 35.5 or better with the best available number at 36.5 via FanDuel.

Our Brenden Schaeffer broke down this matchup further in his Washington vs. Rutgers prediction, while our Mike Spector highlighted the Huskies in his look at the best Week 5 college football upset picks.

Zakhari Franklin Over 3.5 receptions (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No. 19 Illinois prepares for its most formidable challenge of the season when it travels to No. 9 Penn State on Saturday. But the Fighting Illini have passed their previous tests, recording ranked wins over Kansas and Nebraska.

Either way, Illinois receiver Zakhari Franklin is a player worth betting on in this matchup. This line is disrespectfully low for a player with 19 catches over the past three games.

Franklin paces the team in targets (29) and receptions (21) thus far. I’m jumping on this +100 price on Over 3.5 catches at bet365, especially when I project him to finish with five receptions.

Kobe Prentice Under 24.5 receiving yards (-130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s usually a good idea to bet on defense when Alabama and Georgia meet. In this case, I’m fading a Crimson Tide receiver that doesn’t have much of a role.

Kobe Prentice has recorded five catches for 77 yards this season. He’s fourth on the team in targets with six and ranks sixth in passing snaps with 27.
