College football Week 13 top picks

Jayden Daniels Under 0.5 interceptions (-125 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lost in Jayden Daniels’ Heisman-worthy campaign is how well he takes care of the ball. Daniels has thrown just four interceptions all year, including one this month against a formidable Alabama defense.

According to PFF, Daniels has recorded just eight turnover-worthy plays so far this season. His turnover rate of 2.1% is pretty impressive, considering how often he takes deep shots in this electric offense.

There are many ways to bet on Daniels in the regular-season finale, as he makes one last statement for why he should be the Heisman this year. The rest of our college football experts crew certainly feels the same with their Over predictions.

But this is my favorite betting angle against Texas A&M. Daniels hasn’t gone more than two games without an interception this year, though we expect him to close out with a third consecutive INT-free performance to end the regular season.

Jayden Daniels Under 80.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Though his team has three losses, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has established himself as a Heisman odds favorite, given how his rushing output complements his outstanding passing numbers.

As LSU Associate Athletic Director Cody Worsham pointed out on X, Daniels has the best passer rating, most yards per game, and the second-most rushing yards per game (91.8) among all quarterbacks that won the Heisman since 2012. And while he leads the nation with 8.2 yards per carry (among all players, not just quarterbacks), Texas A&M is one of the most stout defensive fronts he has faced all season, which should have him airing the ball out more than using his legs.

Texas A&M has only allowed one team (Tennessee) to run for more than four yards per carry, and the Aggies rank in the top six in EPA/Rush Allowed and Rushing Success Rate Allowed.

This is a four-star play, as the Over on Daniels’ 2.5 passing touchdowns prop is as high as -175 at DraftKings, which suggests oddsmakers are tipping their hand that he should be in for a bigger passing day at the expense of his rushing numbers.

Jaylen Wright Over 90.5 rushing yards (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tennessee hasn’t had the type of season it was hoping for, which is exactly why we’re looking to back the Vols in their regular-season finale against Vanderbilt. Tennessee has the talent to exploit this Vandy team and they’ve got a head coach who is prickly enough about his team’s season to pour it on with minimal contrition in this one.

Vanderbilt ranks 106th in the nation and dead-last in the SEC in run defense, allowing 180.1 rushing yards per game on the season. While Tennessee is likely to rotate multiple running backs, the efficient Jaylen Wright should be featured enough to clear a rushing line that he’s hit six times on the year.

The explosive upperclassman has averaged 7.4 yards per carry this season and has multiple 75-plus yard carries over the past three weeks. Against a soft Commodore run defense in a game with a decisively positive game script, Wright should have every opportunity to break off a few big chunk plays en route to a triple-digit rushing effort.

Both DraftKings and bet365 list this rushing line at 90.5 yards, with -115 odds on the Over.

Ollie Gordon II Over 130.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gordon has run for at least 130 yards in six of his last seven games. Two weeks ago, he ran the ball just 12 times for 25 yards in the Cowboys’ 45-3 loss to the UCF Knights. However, he followed up that performance with a 25-carry 164-yard, three-touchdown game against the Houston Cougars.

Gordon has been the primary weapon in the Cowboys’ attack this season, and he’s going to have another massive game against one of the worst rush defenses in football. The Cougars are allowing 186.7 rushing yards per game, which is 120th in college football. In their last three games, they’re allowing an average of 238 per contest.

FanDuel is the only sportsbook offering this prop at the moment. We’d take this up to 140, so if you wish to see what our other best sportsbooks are offering, you’re safe waiting.
