Riley Leonard is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country. He passed for 2,293 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, adding 751 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground. He's been responsible for two or more total touchdowns in 11 consecutive games, and his play is a huge reason why the Fighting Irish find themselves on the brink of a semifinal appearance.
Georgia's defense has struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks this season. Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Georgia Tech's Haynes King combined to rush for 227 yards and five touchdowns on 40 carries against the Bulldogs. Leonard has averaged 1.15 rushing touchdowns per game since transferring to South Bend, so he is someone we're backing to score in the Sugar Bowl.

Trevor Etienne 2+ touchdowns ⭐⭐⭐

Gunner Stockton will make his first collegiate start against the Fighting Irish in this high-stakes showdown. The sophomore signal-caller has had weeks to prepare following his SEC Championship cameo, but it's still unlikely Kirby Smart and Co. lean on him as much as they did his predecessor. As such, we expect the running game to play a big part in Georgia's game plan.
Trevor Etienne put the Bulldogs' offense on his back in the conference title game, with 16 carries for 94 yards and a pair of scores. His 111 carries on the season are second to Nate Frazier's 129, but the former has played fewer games. As such, Etienne's touch count is higher on a per-game basis, and he leads the program in touchdowns with nine.
This is a value play. Etienne has three multi-touchdown games in nine outings. One third of his appearances in 2024-25 have seen him find pay dirt on more than one occasion, double the implied probability (16.67%) offered by our best sportsbooks. He's scored two-plus touchdowns in three of his last six contests, so we like his chances to do it again under the bright lights of the Caesars Superdome.

Notre Dame isn't foolish; it isn't going to let Georgia run all over it and get Stockton settled into the Sugar Bowl. The Fighting Irish defense will force the young quarterback to air it out, and in those instances, he will likely look to his safety blankets for support.
Oscar Delp had the third-most receptions in the SEC Championship against Texas with three, trailing only Arian Smith and Etienne with five apiece. The tight end's only had games with receptions of more than 20 yards on two occasions, meaning he's running short-to-intermediate routes that are friendly to young signal callers.
Delp has the joint-second-most receiving touchdowns among Bulldogs pass-catchers this season. All four have come in the last four outings, so we'll side with the hot hand to continue his scoring run against Notre Dame.
