The Cyclones are in the midst of a four-game losing skid, but every one of those losses was by one possession. Additionally, three of those four losses came against ranked opponents, while the other was against Kansas, which ended up ranked shortly after the win.

Meanwhile, the Sooners ended a three-game slide by knocking off Kansas two weeks ago. The victory came mostly because quarterback Dillon Gabriel returned from injury and looked fantastic. This week, Gabriel will face a tougher challenge in a defense allowing just 15.1 points per game.

This line opened as a consensus pick'em but Oklahoma is a 1-point favorite as of Saturday morning with 64% of the tickets but just 50% of the handle on the Sooners.

The Over/Under has jumped up from the consensus opening line of 55 to 58.5 with the Over taking 92% of the handle on 66% of the tickets.

With how tight this spread is, there is no value in taking the spread. Oklahoma has the potential to really run away with this one, but with this game being played in Ames, it is more likely that the Iowa State defense does its part to keep it low-scoring. If the Cyclones can play their game, they may finally get off the snide and sneak away with the win.

The Sooners' defense has been very bad in their last four games. They are allowing an average of 46.8 points per game in their last four. However, even against bad defenses, the Cyclones have barely put up points, and their season-high is just 24.

While the Sooners are averaging 33.9 points per game and looked very good offensively with Dillon Gabrial under center against Kansas, the fact remains that the Cyclones' defense has been stout no matter who they play. They have allowed more than 20 points just twice all season, and they held Kansas and Kansas State to a combined 24 points.

If this game was being played in Oklahoma then it may have been worth giving the Over a look, but as it stands, the Under is the correct play.
