New conference, same rivalry.

The Red River Rivalry will make its SEC debut on Saturday when college football championship odds favorite Texas (5-0) takes on No. 18 Oklahoma (4-1), as the pair clash for the first time since joining their new conference.

Football fans are in for a treat this weekend if it’s anything like the recent Big 12 editions of this rivalry matchup. Four of the past five head-to-head meetings have been decided by one score, and our Texas vs. Oklahoma prediction looks at if it will happen again.

As part of our Week 7 college football predictions, here are my Texas vs. Oklahoma player prop bets for this SEC showdown.

Texas vs. Oklahoma touchdown pick

Michael Hawkins Jr. anytime touchdown (+260) ⭐⭐⭐

I think Oklahoma has more of a shot than the current spread of 14.5 at our college football betting sites would suggest. And that’s because the Sooners have recently turned their offense over to freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr.

Hawkins threw for 161 yards and ran for 69 in a 27-21 win over Auburn in his first start. He also added the first rushing touchdown of his career. But Hawkins should record plenty more rushing scores after being the No. 2 dual-threat QB via Rivals in his recruiting class.

My projections give him more than a 30% chance to scores on the ground on Saturday, suggesting there is value in his +260 anytime touchdown odds at FanDuel. This line is as short as +190 at Caesars.

Best Texas vs. Oklahoma prop bets

Michael Hawkins Jr. Over 172.5 passing yards (-114)

While I think the Sooners will keep this game competitive, there is a chance that they are playing catch-up against the Longhorns. And that would lead to more passing opportunities for Hawkins.

Hawkins hasn’t completed more than 11 passes or attempted more than 18 passes in a game this season, though he was just shy of this number against Auburn. Hawkins can clear a low passing yardage prop with some extra volume in a rivalry matchup.

I project Hawkins to finish with more than 200 yards, providing plenty of wiggle room on this Over. That’s why it’s my only five-star play for the Red River Rivalry.

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Quinn Ewers Over 0.5 interceptions (+130)

Rob Paul made the case for quarterback Quinn Ewers to throw an interception in his Quinn Ewers player prop bets, and the value on the Over is too juicy to pass up. A $10 bet pays a $13 profit if OU picks off Ewers.

Ewers has thrown three interceptions in his previous two matchups against Brent Venables’ defense. He also has two interceptions in three games this season, suggesting he hasn’t done a good job of taking care of the ball against inferior competition.

This will be Ewers’ first game since Sept. 14, so I think there is a chance that he’s rusty against his rival. I’d price this prop closer to a coin flip, so it’s worth taking advantage of this value.

Best odds: +130 via bet365 | Implied probability: 43.48%
