We got a wild Week 1 as college football returned to our lives in full last weekend. It's time to run it back after getting some genuine information on the teams. Read on for our top moneyline picks for Week 2 of the college football season.

Well, we nailed the Florida Gators upsetting No. 7 Utah in The Swamp for a plus-money payday last week, but our bets on Purdue and Appalachian State each fell apart in the final minute of their respective games. Ouch. Let’s get back to it with more moneyline madness for Week 2.

Here are our top moneyline picks for Week 2 of the college football season (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top College Football Week 2 Moneyline Predictions

Kentucky (+180) ★★★

Kentucky wasn’t challenged in the same way that Florida was in Week 1, but I came into the year believing Kentucky was a team that could do some serious damage in the SEC East. If the Wildcats are going to live up to that billing, it starts with a win in a tough environment on Saturday.

Gators QB Anthony Richardson was a menace on the ground last week against Utah, racking up 106 yards and three rushing touchdowns. As a team, the Gators ran for 283 yards. Unlike the Florida running game, Kentucky seeks a much better showing from the backfield after its four rushers combined for 68 yards in Week 1.

I think that improvement comes as RB Kavosiey Smoke gets it going against the Gators, but I’m even more confident in a big game for QB Will Levis as Kentucky plants itself firmly on the national landscape with this upset win.

FanDuel offers a slight odds advantage over DraftKings (+160).

Baylor (+146) ★★★

Week 1 gave us no reason to bet against either No. 10 Baylor or BYU but one of these teams with explosive offenses will have to take an L on Saturday night in Provo. Baylor cruised by FCS foe Albany in a 69-10 win. BYU looked impressive against South Florida. Both teams covered the spread.

BYU is a tough team to top in Provo, as they went 5-1 at home last season while the Bears were 3-2 in road games last season and 1-1 on the moneyline as an underdog. Baylor’s 12th-ranked scoring defense from last year should be strong again, and the BYU offense could hit a snag if standout wide receiver Puka Nacua is forced to miss Week 2. He scored two touchdowns before suffering an ankle injury last week.

Though my favorite wager on this game is probably Over 52.5, I’m on the Bears to pull off a road upset outright. DraftKings’ odds of +140 aren’t quite as strong as FanDuel’s offering.

Fresno State (-108) ★★★★

The Oregon State Beavers handled Boise State 34-17 in Week 1, but must now go on the road to tangle with Fresno State after the Bulldogs cruised past FCS Cal Poly in the opener.

This is where I jump off the train of the road warriors in Week 2. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 8-5 and are coming off a 10-win season. Oregon State reached a bowl game last season but finished 1-5 in true road contests. Fresno State, meanwhile, boasts one of the toughest home environments on the West Coast, having gone 5-1 in Bulldog Stadium last year.

I like how the Beavers showed against a capable Mountain West opponent against the Broncos last week, but doing it on the road in this environment doesn’t seem as likely. Give me the experienced QB Jake Haener to carry the day after showing out in Fresno’s Week 1 tune-up.
