Two powerhouses collide at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN) tonight in Omaha as the third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks (50-14) face off against the sixth-ranked LSU Tigers (50-15) with a chance to reach the College World Series Finals.

Our Arkansas vs LSU prediction and odds are targeting the Tigers, despite the Razorbacks being -125 favorites based on the best College World Series odds from our baseball betting sites.

🔮 Arkansas vs LSU prediction & picks

Arkansas' elite pitching has carried it to the College World Series semifinal, with Gage Wood's 19-strikeout no-hitter in an elimination game among the best college pitching performances of all time.

However, you won't be seeing him at all tonight, and that might ultimately end the season of this talented Razorbacks team. While Arkansas took down Murray State 3-0 behind Wood's pitching and then blew by UCLA 7-3 on Tuesday, the Razorbacks opened the College World Series by dropping a game to LSU 4-1.

Can Arkansas get revenge tonight at Charles Schwab Field without two of its top pitchers available? Or will the Tigers pull out another W with their ace expected to be on the mound?

🆚 Who will win Arkansas vs LSU?

Anthony Eyanson (11-2, 2.92 ERA) will likely be on the mound to start tonight after he threw just 45 pitches in three innings in the rain-delayed win over the Bruins on Monday. That gives LSU a major edge over Arkansas. The Razorbacks can't go to Wood or Zach Root, which makes projecting their starting pitcher a little tricky, and they could rely on a platoon of pitchers.

Given Eyanson's success this season, particularly against Arkansas earlier this year when he pitched six shutout innings and struck out 11, LSU has the edge going into this matchup, even as the underdog. The Tigers have beaten the Razorbacks in three of four games this year, outscoring them 26-15 in the process.

Not only does LSU have the better pitching situation in a stadium known as a pitcher's park, the Tigers also have some big swinging bats. Derek Curiel, Jared Jones, Ethan Frey, and Daniel Dickinson should be able to do enough offensively to win this game.

🎯 Exact score prediction: LSU 4, Arkansas 2

Although this should be a tight game thanks to the pitching of Eyanson, and Arkansas' depth at the position, LSU's lineup is bound to pop off at some point. Jones is a mashing monster with 21 dingers to his name and a .325/.420/.619 slash line, and he's surrounded by support in the lineup. Curiel and Frey are both batting better than .330 and both have an OPS over 1.000.

Even if Arkansas' can start one of Gabe Gaeckle or Landon Beidelschies, with its strong bullpen, LSU just has too much pop in its bats to stay quiet for long. Expect this one to be low-scoring late into the game.
