My best home run predictions today answer an age-old question: what happens when an unstoppable force (Eugenio Suarez) meets an immovable object (Sonny Gray) on a baseball diamond in Arizona?

Polanco is quietly one of the hottest power hitters in baseball right now. His .256 batting average doesn't jump off the page, nor do his 15 home runs on the season. However, he's clubbed three long balls in his last five outings, including one in his lone at-bat in the final game before the All-Star break.

The Seattle slugger's recent form is the main reason he's included in our best home run bets today, but I'd be lying if I said Lance McCullers' poor form didn't also play a part.

McCullers has been significantly better on the road (0.46 ERA) than at home (11.86 ERA). However, he's been on the wrong side of home runs in seven of his last 10 starts, including his last four, surrendering nine dingers in that span.

It's always been boom or bust for Polanco against the Astros' arm. He's hitting .200 in five career at-bats against McCullers with four strikeouts, but the one time he connected with a ball, it landed in the seats.
