We're now aiming to put another homer prop or two in the win column while first tapping into the World Series odds-leading Los Angeles Dodgers. Let's lean on one of their primary producers during a matchup against the Colorado Rockies and their dreadful pitching.

Then we'll turn to two scuffling veterans who are starting to turn their results around, and a power-focused hitter set to pounce on a subpar fastball.

You need some of this Dodgers-Rockies matchup in your life if you're homer hunting tonight.

Of course, Shohei Ohtani is always appealing, but his power-packed ways are baked into the odds, with a price as short as +260 to go deep tonight. Riding Tommy Edman's sizzling start is tempting too, especially at +900 odds from bet365. But as impressive as he's been, Edman has hit six home runs over just 17 games, and his previous career single-season high is 13. The regression monster looms, at least in the homer department.

Then there's the steady Betts, who's slashing .288/373/.481 with three homers. He now gets to tee off on the Rockies' putrid pitching staff, which sits 29th leaguewide with its 5.02 ERA. And tonight the juicy offerings will be coming from Antonio Senzatela, who's tied for the most hits allowed in MLB (27).

He's a right-hander too, and Betts is raking while posting a .324 batting average against righties this year and a .904 OPS.

The decline phase will eventually begin to swallow up Perez, as it has for so many before him, especially at the catcher position. It's early yet, but we could be witnessing the start of that now for the soon-to-be 35-year-old with his lowly .606 OPS.

But he was only slightly younger last year when he muscled out 27 homers, tying his second-highest career single-season total and finishing third among all catchers. And there are promising signs of life and a positive regression ahead for Perez now, most notably his .550 expected slugging that sits far higher than the veteran's .344 actual slugging percentage.

And facing Carlos Carrasco should be the cure for what ails Perez. The Yankees hurler is far past his peak, and he's been lambasted to the tune of a 7.71 ERA. That includes allowing three homers in his last outing against the Detroit Tigers. He's ripe to be pummeled, with a sky-high hard-hit rate allowed of 48.7%.

⚾ Byron Buxton (Twins) to hit a home run⭐⭐

Like Perez, Buxton has been scuffling to begin the season but is beginning to show signs of a steady pulse. Most notably for our purposes, he's belted two homers over his last three games, tossing in a double during a win over the Tigers yesterday for good measure.

His OPS went from .502 entering the series against Detroit to .673 now. Combine that momentum with a favorable matchup for Buxton tonight, and it's time to ride a slugger who could be finding his form before the outfielder's homer odds decline further.

He'll spend part of his evening opposing the New York Mets' Clay Holmes, whose sinker isn't quite as lethal as a starter so far. Opposing batters are posting a .412 average and .626 expected slugging against Holmes' most-used pitch that he throws 30.7% of the time, according to Baseball Savant. Buxton is excelling against sinkers too while slugging .538. 

Price shopping is critical here both due to FanDuel's rogue price, and the lowly offerings elsewhere. The next best price for Buxton to go deep is through bet365 and BetMGM at +425, with Caesars sitting as low as +370.

Easton Lucas has been a pleasant surprise for the Toronto Blue Jays while filling in for the injured Max Scherzer and throwing 10 1/3 scoreless innings across two starts, the most recent of which featured eight strikeouts.

However, Lucas benefitted from a soft landing during his first MLB start while facing the Washington Nationals. And tonight the wheels might not fall off, but there could be some serious wobbling against a far more potent Atlanta Braves offense, despite the team's overall struggles at 4-11.

One of the more formidable challenges will be Riley, who strikes out plenty but takes mighty cuts while focused on power. He's been especially hungry for fastballs early this season while producing a .306 batting average and slugging .500 against the pitch. Lucas throws a four-seamer that's mediocre, yet he still uses it an overwhelming 57.1% of the time. His average fastball velocity of 92.9 mph sits in just the 28th percentile.
