Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets Tonight: Picks, Predictions & Odds for April 4

We came up empty in our eternal rummaging for round-trippers yesterday, which included Yordan Alvarez's mighty jolt dying on the warning track in deep right field. But there's been plenty of success early this season with our best home run prop bets today.

We've found early success during a campaign in which MLB MVP odds front-runner Aaron Judge is unsurprisingly going yard often, tied for the league lead with five homers. Judge's odds are as short as +200 to go deep again tonight, but there's no shortage of hot sluggers elsewhere with more appealing homer prices.

Naylor isn't smacking the ball over the fence quite yet during the early stages of the season with a new team. But his .320 batting average and .873 OPS show he's hitting plenty, and that includes three doubles on eight hits.

The power will come, just as it did in abundance last year with his career-high 31 homers during Naylor's first season playing 150-plus games. And now a slugger who has been making lots of quality contact faces a starting pitcher whose homer generosity knows no boundaries.

Jake Irvin of the Washington Nationals was a one-way ticket to dinger land last year while allowing 29 homers, tied for the seventh-most leaguewide. His expected slugging allowed sat in the bottom 10% of MLB, according to Baseball Savant, and lefties like Naylor were responsible for 17 of his long balls given up.

Pounce on the +600 odds here from BetMGM, which are in another universe compared to the +480 from Caesars.

Garcia is always the sort of ball-punisher you want in your corner when making home run prop bets.

His .239 career batting average clearly tells us he's not coming to the ballpark every night looking for looping singles, as does the veteran's four straight seasons with 175-plus strikeouts.

But he's averaged 30.5 homers per season since becoming a full-time player in 2021. He's forever looking to put a dent in the baseball and whatever else is in its path, and tonight Garcia gets a fine opportunity to do just that again.

Garcia, who boasts a .956 OPS through seven games with two homers, will square off against Zack Littell of the Tampa Bay Rays. Littell leans heavily on his slider while throwing it 35.6% of the time, and last season Garcia slugged .455 against breaking pitches. Both of his round-trippers this season have come against breaking balls, too.

📊 Rangers vs. Rays home run odds

⚾ Jose Ramirez (Guardians) to hit a home run⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +600 via BetMGM (bet $10 to win $60)

Ramirez suffered what now seems like a minor wrist injury this past Saturday and was pulled from the game after six innings. He then missed the Cleveland Guardians' contest on Sunday, but the five-tool dynamo has looked perfectly healthy since.

We don't have access to medical reports to confirm that of course, but his play tells the tale. He tallied a three-hit game with a double that left the bat at 108.2 mph upon returning to the lineup on Monday, and his first homer of the season.

Ramirez then built on his white-hot status during Cleveland's last game with another multi-hit outing, including his second double early in the new campaign. In total, three of his five hits have gone for extra bases.

Now he gets to face a starter in the Los Angeles Angels' Jose Soriano who gives up laser beams, with an average exit velocity last year that sat in just the 21st percentile, according to Baseball Savant. Soriano also leans exceedingly hard on his sinker after throwing it 46.4% of the time in 2024, and Ramirez recorded a .333 batting average against that pitch while slugging .573 last year.

This is again a case when you need to scramble to BetMGM, as it's price is far better than the offerings at our other best MLB betting sites, and especially the +400 at FanDuel.

📊 Guardians vs. Angels home run odds

⚾ Teoscar Hernandez (Dodgers) to hit a home run ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +430 via FanDuel (bet $10 to win $43)

Everyone's favorite seed-throwing masher hasn't been doing much hitting early this season while sporting a .200 batting average. But we care far more about the quality of contact, and half of Hernandez's six hits across eight games have gone for extra bases, including two home runs.

His aggressive approach surely won't change at the age 32, but Hernandez's .272 average and .840 OPS last year show that positive regression in those areas is surely coming. And he can keep muscling out balls to the gaps and beyond the fences in the process.

The matchups tonight offers a good chance to continue on that path. Hernandez faces a lefty in the Philadelphia Phillies' Jesus Luzardo, and he posted a .931 OPS last year against southpaws compared to an .808 when facing a righty.
