An interleague battle between the Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Padres culminates Saturday’s MLB slate, and we have you covered with our Blue Jays vs. Padres player props and expert picks based on the best MLB  odds.

The Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Padres meet Saturday night in an intriguing interleague matchup between two teams boasting .500 or better records. The Blue Jays won Friday's series opener 5-1 to hand the Padres their second straight loss.

The Blue Jays clinched a convincing 5-1 victory in yesterday's opener against the Padres. Now, they face off again at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif., for the second game of this three-game series, with first pitch scheduled for 8:40 p.m. ET.

In conjunction with our MLB Player Props & Expert Picks, here are our best Padres vs. Blue Jays player props and MLB picks (odds via our best MLB betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Padres vs. Blue Jays expert picks

Manny Machado Under 1.5 total bases  ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Machado entered Friday on an 11-game hitting streak, tied for the second-longest active streak in the majors. However, while Machado had four multi-hit games in that stretch, just two of his 15 hits went for extra bases, and he slugged just .478 despite batting .326 over that time frame.

Machado has had great career success against Berrios, going 5-for-12 with a home run and a 1.128 OPS with just one strikeout, but Berrios is pitching so well at the moment that we feel he will get the better of Machado.

Best odds: -175 via Betway

Xander Bogaerts Under 0.5 hits ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bogaerts is very familiar with Berrios from his days in the AL East, and is just 4-for-23 against the righty, with seven strikeouts and just one of the four hits going for extra bases. Not only does Bogaerts have a poor history against Berrios, but he is drastically underperforming this year, with a .200/.273/.263 slash line and a negative WAR entering Friday. Bogaerts had gone hitless in four of the six games prior to Friday, and we do not expect him to start raking now against a starting pitcher who enters with a 15.2 scoreless innings streak.
